An ethical issue that the Acme Corporation could potentially face is corporate social responsibility. Frank as well as his manager failed to provide corporate social responsibility when they agreed to “take care of the needs” of Otis, the buyer for Thermocare that expressed interest in attending an “adult entertainment” club. It is an Acme Corporation’s obligation to maximize the positive impact on Thermocare to include its employees. Additionally, Acme management must consider the negative impact if they are associated with financially providing approval for unmoral behavior. In the world business, business ethics comprises principles and standards that guide behavior in business. Acme is also facing the issue of employees not sharing a common vision of trust. Trusting relationships between upper management and managers as well as their subordinates contribute to greater decision making efficiencies. Playing a blind eye to employees that are achieving goals that no one else has ever done is a clue to Acme to take a closer look at the situation instead of just rewarding an employee.…

Marshall Mathers, otherwise known as Eminem, plays a great part in society. Think about what would happen if there was no Eminem? One less rapper is more than likely what you are thinking right? Well it is not just one less rapper. It would also be one less role model for those who really care about him. Eminem is an influence to the young life and even the adults. His songs are stories based on his life and things that he would have wanted to change or make different. Most of them are based on subjects that actually happened to him first hand. Some of the children growing up in this time and some adults face some of the same problems he faced. Therefore, Eminem is an influence who expresses his self in his own different style or character.…

Feminism was a theoretical sociological perspective that was very strong from the 60s. These theorists believe that men opress women. Marxist feminists have suggested that the housewife role was a social construction by men after industrialisation to serve the interests of capitalism and to keep women in the home where they 'should be'. They believe that it is thought that womens role is in the home to take on domestic labour, childcare and perform the expressive role so the 'proletariat' working men can come home and be the king of their castle (as suggested by Zaratsky). Feminisist believe the housewife role exploits women. However C. Hakim suggested it is not the idea of patriarchy that keeps women in the home, but the fact that they actually want to be and enjoy it. Anne Oakly suggested that if society subscribes to the view that women have a maternal instinct, then women who opt not to have children will be seen as deviant. Her argument is that women should have the choice to not have children without being deemed strange or wrong. This has caused many changes and modern attitudes are now more accepting of this change in the role of women. Greer suggested that within families, female children are gender-role socialised into accepting their future role in their own families as being the carer and housewife. This, she argues, is done through encouraging play through dolls, soft toys and pretend cookers etc*.…

This genre has a good beat to it and it is easy to listen to and the lyrics relate to the lives of its listeners. Artists in the Hip-Hop/R&B genre portray sex in many different styles. Some artists use a romantic style while others use a humorous style that is very vivid. Artists choose to write about sex in their lyrics because it is controversial and it draws the attention of today’s youth. “The Way I Am” criticizes Eminem’s nonstop conflict with the media and how he uses his power as a cult of personality to protest what the media portrays him as and what he refuses to be.“I'm not Mr. N'Sync/I'm not what your friends think/I'm not Mr. Friendly”(21-22). Because Eminem is not conforming to what the media wants him to be, they want to make him an example. “And all of this controversy circles me/And it seems like the media immediately/Points a finger at me”(44-45). Anything that is controversial the media wants him to blame him for.…

Rappers, again, began recording original songs. The early 90's also saw an emergence of a new, more explicit, type of rapping. West Coast Rappers began writing songs, which told stories of their hardships and also explained extreme situations of violence and sexuality. Many resented this and would fight for some sort of censorship. In response, the Parental Advisory label was developed and placed on all music albums containing explicit lyrics. This was designed to warn parents of what their children were listening…

I strongly believe that you need to give your children the freedom to make their own choices in the paths they take in their lives. If you don’t they might rebel and make poor choices that can lead to a poor lifestyle. Although you do have to step in every once in a while but I believe you need to make these interferences in their lives a very rare occasion. For instance when it comes to negative rap music and their videos; I believe a parent needs to step in and explain to the child why they shouldn’t watch this type of music video or listen to this type of music. And also shield the child to the best of their power.…
