Basketball And Hockey Similarities
Hockey and basketball have many similarities, but are unique in their own ways. Both sports have been around for over 125 years. They both can be played in backyards, parks, or in professional arenas. Each sport is entertaining and has a big fanbase, and the goal is to put an object in a net using five players on each team.

While the two sports have a lot in common there are lots of differences. In hockey you can push people off of the rubber disc that is called a puck to score. Pushing a player in hockey is called checking, and it is encouraged. Hockey players wear a plethora of protective gear including a helmet, shin pads, skates, shoulder pads and other equipment to keep players safe. It is very hard to score in hockey because the
