Back To The Future Movie
Back To The Future is set in the year 1985 in California. The main character Marty McFly, is a typical American high school student. Marty’s parents are as dysfunctional as it gets. His father, George gets picked on by his boss and his mother, Lorraine is an alcoholic, who only married George because her father hit him with a car. Marty becomes friends with Doc Brown. Best described as a nerdy scientist, Doc shows Marty a time machine one day which takes Marty back to the 1950s. Marty travels back in time in a DeLorean car. While stuck in the 1950s, Marty meets his parents, before they were and must make sure they fall in love so that he can get back to the future. In Back To The Future II Marty McFly takes another tip in Doc Brown’s time …show more content…
Many different brands took place in celebrating the day. For the purpose of this assignment I have chosen three brands that I believe did Back To The Future right, Nike, Red Bull and Pepsi. Nike created a limited-edition, digital, self-lacing sneakers as seen in the movies. Nike used social media outlook, Twitter to show a quick video displaying the replica sneakers. In the movie, McFly was played by Michael J.Fox so Nike tweeted to Fox the say before saying “see you tomorrow.” I believe Nike’s idea was the best one because it used humor as well as a big correlation from their product to a major part in the movie. Red Bull, a brand that has nothing to do with the topic but took advantage by creating a whitty and funny approach. Red Bull Tweeted to fans “Let’s take it back to 1985. Fax us ur tweets & we’ll share our faves in the future: 310-309-5291 #BackToTheFuctureDay.” In my opinion, I believe Red Bull really did an outstanding job. For a brand that has nothing to do with the movie, they incorporated a fax machine, something that was such a major thing back in 1985 which was the tie setting of the movie. Red Bull stated that they received a lot of faxes which was a result of how funny the tweet was and that some people still actually have access to a fax machine. Pepsi was the last brand I picked. Pepsi was featured in the film. On the anniversary the company created Back To The Future -based themed bottles. Like Nike, I believe this idea for Pepsi because it was featured in the film. Pepsi created a new designed, Pepsi Perfect bottle of the beverage that sold out quickly

10 Things I Hate About You, a film directed by Gil Junger, is a great movie that people still watch even though it is almost 15 years old. The film is based on Shakespeare’s romantic comedy, The Taming of the Shrew, but has been made to be understood by people in the 90's. America has made some huge technological advances since the 17th century. Technology plays a huge part in our life from the internet to even the movies. The film explores the ideas of dating, individualism and trust. In contrast to The Taming of the Shrew, 10 Things I Hate About You was created to encourage female independence and control, a huge event in American history that effected the way both of them were written. Even though , the film still results to traditional views on dating and the archetypal “knight in shining armour” that every girl should find. With previous sexist views aside, and further use of the five elements of fiction writing; plot, characters, setting, theme and style, The Taming of the Shrew has been transformed into a teenage classic, in the form of 10 Things I Hate About You.…
