autoclave for wood chemical treatments
autoclave for wood chemical treatments / chemical treatments for wood / autoclave for wood preservation
All measures that are taken to ensure a long life of wood fall under the definition wood preservation (timber treatment).
In moist and oxygenated soil, there are few treatments that enable vulnerable wood (softwood here) to resist for long against bacterial or fungal degradation
Apart from structural wood preservation measures, there are a number of different (chemical) preservatives and processes (also known as timber treatment, lumber treatment or pressure treatment) that can extend the life of wood, timber, wood structures or engineered wood. These generally increase the durability and resistance from being destroyed by insects or fungus. In order to ensure the durability of wood, it is necessary to subject it to chemical treatments in autoclave for treatment of wood.

2. Materials of ZG autoclave for wood preservation :
A) Q345R-GB713 of Hangang in Hebei.
B) 16MnII level of making flange forging
C) φ 133× 25 tube to make DN100 and the material is 20-GB9948.

3. Process:
A) After welding the door, it must be proceed annealing heat treatment.
B) Polish toothed cutter of flange of autoclave body, and carry out magnetic particle testing.
C) Use double scale container board, and ensure the longitudinal joint of each section.
D) Carry out the physical and chemical test (stretch, impact), ensure its strength.
E) Welds are 100% X-ray detection, then carry out hydraulic test of 2.1MPa after passing. The whole process is complete inspected by CSEI factory inspection, and leave factory after stamp and signature. http://www.zgautoclave.com/zgnews/Wood-treating-autoclave-manufacture-in-Thailand.html http://www.zgautoclave.com/product/Autoclave-for-Wood-treatments.html

The reading passage describes that due to the damage that occurs in forests as a result of fires and storms through the northwestern of the United States, a technique known as salvage logging is developed. It has beneficial effects on both forests and economy. First, fire cause the death of trees that if they are not removed, there will be no vacant places for new ones. That’s why by using salvage logging, there will be new room and space for fresh growth of trees thus the forest will recover. Second, decaying wood is a suitable environment for the growth of harmful insects such as spruce…

Sapstain Decay are caused by organisms known as fungi. These small grow deep into the wood and use portions of it for their food. The sapstain fungi are mostly attracted to sapwood but organisms can attack the heartwood as well as the sapwood of most species of wood. The sapstain fungi quickly attacks the sapwwod of fresh sawn lumber and causes a blue, grey or black discoloration. While this stain makes the wood look unpleasant, it does not affect its structural integrity. Sapwood lumber that is freshly sawn for all species remains susceptible to fungi attack from the time the tree is cut in the woods until the lumber is dried to less than 20 percent moisture content (MC). The attacking fungi usually produce a pigmented spore that discolors…

There are abundant ways we can and should use the forest more sustainably to be assured that they will be around for future generations. Some ways are enrichment planting; selective logging; preserving wildlife corridors and ecotourism. Enrichment planting consist of planting new trees or plants under older trees or in small clearings in the event that the trees do not grow back by themselves. This will help reduce, if not stop, forests from disappearing worldwide, provide treasured timber species and help protect secondary forests. Selective logging occurs by cutting only some of the trees, while saving young trees and some healthy older trees to hold soil and provide seed for the future. This helps to restore forests, prevents areas from being totally destroyed from clear cutting and it leaves something to reseed. Preserving wildlife corridors…

HLC initially looked into FSC-certified wood when custom home-builders began to generate a demand for the material. This consumer base is generally providing a service for luxury home buyers who tend to be less price-sensitive and willing to pay the higher rates in order to claim environmental friendliness. The other portion of their customer base, low-cost builders, did not show an interest in such expensive products despite the ecological appeal. In order to meet the demands of the luxury home buyers HLC dedicated a portion of their inventory holding to FSC-certified lumber, spending twenty-five percent more on the ‘green’ wood. This company was the only one in the region to take on this endeavor. The ability to provide the eco-labeled FSC wood to builders in the area allowed HLC to set themselves apart from the other suppliers in the area that had refused to lay out the capital for the eco-label. HLC was able to effectively separate themselves from the other suppliers by providing this new and unique service and the consumer base had no other options, ensuring sales.…

In a study, “Papers and Boards from Banana Stem Waste” in which they used banana stem waste in producing paper and board because banana is a very good source of cellulose. Banana stem waste, thrown away by farmers after harvesting of fruits, was procured as raw material. It was chopped by 3-4” size usually at a rate of about 100 kg material per day. The material was soaked in 1-2% NaOH for appropriate period. The alkali loosens the ligno-cellulosic bonds, thereby softening the material. Then it was washed with water. The washed material was then subjected to beating in a Hollander beater, a machine developed by the Dutch in 1680 to produce paper pulp from cellulose containing plant fibers. A period of three to four hours of beating was required for getting a good quality of pulp. It was observed that depending upon the quality of boards to be produced, appropriate amount of fillers, loading material or chemicals were used during wet beating. For production of hard boards, suitable quantity of resins like urea formaldehyde and phenol formaldehyde are added in the beater itself while maintaining pH. The wet boards are then allowed to dry under direct sun on bamboo frames specially made for this purpose.…
