Topic: Benefits of Drinking Water.
INTRODUCTION
Attention getter: What do humans, trees and fishes have in common? Anyone have any ideas? It’s what 71 percent of earth is covered with……water. We all need water to survive. So, how many of you all drink at least eight glasses of water per day?
Purpose: To encourage my audience to drinks more water and the proper way to drink it for them to stay healthy.
Importance to audience: Nature has given us plenty of free water for us to drink and stay healthy. But instead of it there is a hydration crisis among kids nowadays.
Thesis statement: Water is classified second to oxygen as important to life. It’s a necessity for everyone to drink eight glasses of water every day to stay hale

It’s absolutely crucial to drink water everyday in order to purify human body.

(Transition: Now, what makes water better than those high-calorie fruit drinks, or soft drinks heavily loaded with caffeine, sugar and artificial flavors?)
B. Second main point: Negative effect of wrong dietary and wrong consumption of intakes. {NOT SURE}
i. Sub point: Studies showed that our bodies don’t register empty calories from liquids- like register calories from food. When we drink 200 calories from a soft drink, we typically don’t adjust the rest of dietary intake based on those calories. The result is excess calorie consumption, eventually lead to weight gain. ii. Sub point: Studies also indicate that men who consume more than ten glasses of water per day are less likely to develop bladder infections than those that did not. iii. Sub point: Unlike water, high calorie beverages dehydrates you. iv. Sub point: Unlike coffee or soda which require a specific temperature to be pleasant, water can be consumed cold or at room temperature.
