Artifacts Affecting Interpersonal Communication In My Bedroom
Artifacts are personal objects we use to personalize our environment as well as announce our identities. While Environmental Factors are nonverbal influence that affect interpersonal communication. (Wood & Schwartz, 2014, p. 175 & 179)
My bedroom is the most cherished of all the rooms in my house. It is deliberate but precisely decorated and lightly furnished. It has dark brown wood floors, very spacious and usually dimly lit, but can be adjusted depending on how I am feeling. It features a pure white contemporary queen size platform bed and is dressed in one hundred percent solid yellow Egyptian cotton bed sheets, with matching pillow cases and window drapes. At the foot of the bed is a four by four plush yellow rug with red and orange tones,

The right bedside table holds three framed pictures of my son at different ages. The left bedside table holds a single dark brown, cracked log lamp and a digital alarm clock. The dresser is to my immediate left, where I have displayed a collection of perfumes as well as very softly scented candles. The far left corner is a tall white vase with a gold trim around its mouth, which holds long stem artificial yellow orchid flowers. My bed faces double sliding glass doors that open's' up into my back yard and gives the room a beautiful view of nature, also brings in plenty of natural light and fresh air. Some would definitely be swift to learn some good ideas on how to reduce clutter in their own homes; by removing items that are not useful but take up space. One of my best experiences was about five months ago, when my best friend Lyse, came to my house with her colleague Portia from work. During that visit, we all decided the house was too hot so we opted to go to the back yard, which can be accessed by passing through my room. When Portia saw my room, she was so captivated at how vibrant and warm it looked and felt. She instantly fell in love with it. Two days later she called me and asked if I would be willing to help her makeover her bedroom and living room; I jumped at the idea we worked on both rooms slowly but purposefully for a month, the transformation was amazing and she is happy

This house and porch swing was found on the internet but would go perfectly with the scene of Cameron and Neely meeting for the first time in 15 years. Cameron’s Parents house is your classic Main St. upper-middleclass family home with a paved driveway and green grass all year round. In the driveway sits three cars, Acura RSX (2003) Infiniti QX (2003) and a Chevrolet Silverado (1990). Its close to sunset when the scene takes place so the porch lights are on.…

    My Messy Room

I am currently sitting in my bedroom, on a cold winter day. My feet touching the rough surface of my ancient Persian carpet, walls of orangey orange stare at me through the pictures on them, and the mountains of dirty clothes falling over me as if there was an avalanche going on. Today is not going well as I feel stressed from all the chores that I have, plus the cleaning of my over infected room. Even though every visitor that gets to see my room may suffer blindness from seeing the mess, I love this room because it has a certain warmth and glow that allows my mind to rest in peaceful bliss. Yes, maybe there is a smell of wet dog and there are pets that I never brought home crawling around every corner of this room but it is the place where I grew up and feel safe to be when I am down. There are so many great treasures hidden in this room that as soon as I clean, I feel water drops fall from my dark brown eyes and run across my cheeks until they fall from my chin and hit the floor. Out of a 24 hour day I may only take 7 hours to get this place spotless and be able to observe the wonders hidden inside of the black door that covers the entrance.…
