Swiss Chalet Research Paper
In the alps region, lay a ranging environment of various plant and animal life. The region is primarily cold with temperatures ranging from -7 degrees celsius to 8 degrees celsius. The tree scaped environment allowed the natives to use the abundance to their advantage, and created a style what is know known today as Swiss Chalet. Chalet is first seen to be used in 1328 to describe simple log cabin. Though, these simple log cabins were used for only a couple of months of the year during extreme weather. Early construction of Chalet homes required a vast amount of wood. During early times, one must secure a sustainable plot of land in order to use the lands resources to create the home. The use of white is minimal but is primarily based upon the bathtub and sink areas. The overall feel is greatly comforting due to the darker tones that are personally pleasuring.
Bedroom style is also bathed in light to dark hues of wood. The bedroom decor also brings in the light and dark aspects of the overall room. Particular styles bring out a greater use in tan colors, rather than dark tones.
The living rooms are the most signified and open area. Following the dark and light hues style as well as the introduction of stone. The furniture is primarily lighter toned. The ceilings are the signified A frame and are again made with the commonly used wood. Decor ranges from modern to outdoors such as mounts of animals and or guns. The style is strictly based on personal appeal.
Chalet kitchen is primarily wooden based with dark toned stone for table top. The lights are low hanging and dimmed. Islands are located in the center for a rotational movement. The kitchen's size is usually larger but can be brought down to a one length wall
