In fact, bulls are a more biddable animal, therefore taking precautions around other animals and people. Quite the same with the bulls inside the ring. Being as subtle as they are, they would never charge an animal unprovoked. This being the real side of the animal, especially in the case of the bulls bred for fighting, are entirely slow, predictable, and harmless. But the reason they are led to charge at the matador is a whole other hellish one. This one being the torturous days leading up to the bulls death. It is tormented for two days all the while being stuck inside a dark box to disorient the animal. “The bull has wet newspapers stuffed into his ears; Vaseline is rubbed into his eyes to blur his vision; cotton is stuffed up his nostrils to cut off his respiration and a needle is stuck into his genitals.” When the bull is released from its personal hell, it bounds to the long awaited light.
