Argumentative Essay On Surfing
Being that Bethany has been surfing since she was five years old.It takes a lot to surf its not easy you have to be resilient to surf and that’s one reason why she is resilient. Bethany was an amateur at the age of 13.She started to get better and was about to get called up to the pro’s.Then she got attacked by a 15 foot tiger shark and then everyone thought her career was over. After she got attacked, she was in the hospital knowing she was gonna make a comeback.Then she starts going to rehab to get used to surfing with one arm.In less than a month she was back into surfing. Then she finally made her dream come true by becoming a pro surfer.She started to win a lot of awards and competitions.To this day she still surfs and talks

    Bethany decided to surf at Tunnels Beach, Hawaii, even though the waves were not a real challenge for her. As Hamilton lay on her surfboard waiting for a wave with her left arm hanging from the side, a tiger shark attacked her without any warning. It took a seventeen inch wide bite out of the surf board and her arm. In the ferocious fight for her life, the shark tore her entire arm off just below her shoulder before vanishing. Hamilton quickly swam to shore only using her remaining arm and Blanchard’s father used a surf leash as a tourniquet to help stop her from bleeding to death before she was rushed to a nearby hospital.
