Argumentative Essay On Gun Laws

If you have heard about the Las Vegas Shooting, the Sandy Hook Shooting or the Orlando Night Club Shooting then you know that many innocent lives were taken because of someone who abused the right to have a gun. These are some of the worst shootings in America that have so many people questioning if we should put stricter laws on guns. Some would say that having stricter laws on guns or having no guns at all would make America safer, but putting harsh laws on guns will not result in anything positive. Guns are one of the best ways of protection and they are not the objects that do the killing, people kill other people. America does not need stricter laws on gun control. To begin with, guns are one of the greatest forms of protection there is. Many forms of security like the Secret Service and police officers have guns to protect people like the president and people like us. It is a part of the Second Amendment to bear arms. Guns do not automatically shoot themselves and kill masses of people, there always has to be someone else shooting the gun. Whether there is a motive or not for the killings, someone is always in charge of the gun and are choosing to shoot others. We tend to blame the killings on the guns because we don't want to think that there are bad people in the world that are capable of doing a heinous crime. Acts of murder and suicide are not going to end because people think taking away guns will help with death counts and mass killings, people are still in charge of what they do to themselves and others.
