Your home alone on a cool quiet night; you roll over and witness a large individual kick in your door with a twelve gauge shotgun. You hear him coming up the stairs, what do you do? Run? Call the police, or do you grab your gun and protect you and your children. Now if you were to take the gun out of the situation what would you have done? The intruder is already in your house where your kids sleep at night, and the police's response time is not going to be fast enough. What if you were able to hide, well you can not hide forever and eventually he will find you. No matter what you think, or how you feel about guns; if you were to put yourself in that position. You would be very grateful for the gun that saved you and your precious children.

Anyone that pushes gun control enjoys to tell stories how hunting animals is wrong, or how easy it is to gain access to a firearm. Unfortunately those accusations are true. The black market has made it so easy to get a hold of an illegal gun, but you can also get a kidney, lung or even jewelry. I understand why there are many concerns on the safety of the public, but taking self defence weapons are not the answer. If you are for gun control then you most likely against hunting, and the trapping of animals. There are several of cases of people illegally killing animals, such as endangered species. Elephants, tigers, and rhinos are considered as trophy animals to high class hunters. Polluters will pay thousands of dollars to go after trophy animals such as the ones listed above in the previous sentence. An elephant's tusk is worth a lot of money for the tusk of the endangered species, but all of the other parts of the animals is wasted and thrown out to root. It is very hard to protect endangered species when there are people out illegally killing them out of their own habitat that they are protected in.
