Animal testing may go against your morals, but is it worth being safe? Animal testing is a very controversial topic in which most people believe is wrong. Most people who believe that it is wrong have invalid reasons of why they think that way. Although it goes against your morals, it is a necessity because it provides a safe way for us to test products, find out why certain things cause birth defects, and for us to be able to find cures for specific diseases. It may seem harsh, but this is the reality we live in. It’s difficult to understand what a person believes in without looking at the facts. Animals are tested on for scientific and medical research. Certain animals share a large portion of DNA with humans, which causes the process of …show more content…
Scientific research shows that pets, livestock, and animals in zoos live longer, more comfortable, and healthier lives as a result of animal research. Vaccines for rabies, and other diseases that animals are capable of catching, would not be created without the help of animal testing and research. Diseases such as the ones listed above could potentially kill off and harm a population or species. Rabies and other diseases can be passed on between animals. Things like research on the sexual behavior of animals has made it possible to breed many species in captivity, enabling endangered species to be reintroduced to the wild. This can be a very useful tool and makes us capable of protecting endangered animals. Scientists are able to control the environment of animals, and that allows them to be able to tell what will happen depending on what environment a species lives in. With this information, scientists are able to help a species or population grow. Animal testing benefits both humans and animals. It allows vaccines to be created for diseases that could potentially kill off a whole species. It is necessary in order for us to be able to eat the food we eat, and use the products we use. Without animal testing, many products would be unsafe to use. This could cause many things to be taken away from stores and a ton of things would not be good for human usage. A ban on the testing

Animal testing has always been a big issue around the world. Some people think that it is okay for animals to be tested on while others don’t. What even is animal testing? Animal testing is where scientists find new medications and test them on the animals before humans. Why might scientists test them on animals first? So, that if something goes wrong, only the animal would suffer and not a human. I am a critic for animal testing. I believe that animals have a purpose to the world just as much as humans do. Even if people don’t like rodents, that doesn’t mean we need to try and potentially kill them. Animals are very important to this world just like everyone else.…

There are a lot of bad things that happen in this world and Animal Testing is one of them. Doctors,Scientists and other people test on these animals everyday. In my opinion there should be no animal testing at all. It is cruel. Right now there are millions of animals sitting in cold cages waiting for their next painful procedure. The stress, sterility and boredom causes them to develop neurotic behaviors such as, biting themselves and running around in circles. Most of these animals are killed after the testing because there is no possible way for them to live after this has happened. More than 100 million animals suffer this torture. Exact numbers have not been found, in rats, mice, birds, and cold blooded animals take up about 90 percent.…

Animal testing is basically that, so, technically, animal testing is animal abuse. Animals should not be experimented on because the testing is somewhat like torture and they are innocent. Although huge developments have been made with animal testing, about 90% of successful animal testing is not successful when used on humans.…

It is very beneficial to use animal for many reasons. One reason is because it lowers how many humans we have to test on, which it is way better then testing on humans. It also gets quicker approval. In cases where it is unethical to test on humans, animals are available to be used. Even though it is testing on a different species it is very reliable, because they are similar enough to humans. Animals themselves benefit from the testing on animals. This does not make sense at first, but when you think about it a little more it makes sense because discoveries are also made that help the animals along the way.…

Others might say that animal testing is good because we can find cures for some of the terrible diseases that live here. It is more true that only 2% of the cures actually works. Also, that 2% has a chance to hurt people also. But it is true that some of the cures such as, lung cancer, birth defects, and spinal cord injuries. But if you are going to do animal testing and let it continue you should use more common animals such as rats, mice, and maybe ducks but not monkeys and other more endangered…

You might think that animals that are tested on are simply being hurt. What you do not know is that these animals have helped to find cures for their own species. Dogs have been tested on to find a cure for rabies. Although a clear cure was not found, scientists found a vaccine to help control it. Also, preventive treatments for cattle diseases have been available for them because of animal research. Without these animals being tested on and finding cures for animal diseases, many people would be affected by this. If cattle start perishing, for example, farmers would lose money because they get money of their cattle. And if dogs did not help find a cure for rabies, they themselves would be dying off slowly and painfully. Animal research has also been integral to the preservation of many endangered species. The ability to eliminate parasitism, treat illnesses, use anesthetic devices, and promote breeding has improved the health and survival of many species. (Medicine, Council and…
