The second amendment states “A well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed” The author also has no facts to be proven, her argument is mostly surrounded by opinion and belief. The only facts she really has are the most obvious to everyone: like a person who drives a car is licensed or the second amendment has the word militia in it.…

Many Americans believe that Gun-Control Laws should be enforced, because “Individuals do not need guns for protection; it is the role of local and federal government to protect the people through law enforcement agencies and the military.” (http://www.StudentNewsDaily.com) All Individuals deserve the right to carry a gun with them at all times, to use for protection. According to the Second Amendment in the Constitution, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” (https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/second_amendment) Obtaining a gun, gives one the sense of feeling safe and protected given any situation. Armed citizen-soldiers won America 's freedom from English rule more than two centuries ago. Partly because of this long-standing tradition, attempts to restrict a citizen 's right to own a gun evoke strong emotions. When the Mayflower landed on American continent, the first group of immigrants faced the deserted soil and various beasts, weapons helped them survive. (Sandra M. 2009, p.1)Then, weapons played an important role in open up virgin soil in the west. Americans regard guns as their lives because they believe the guns can against to tyranny. The War of Independence is an example. At that time, American people realized that guns were the last shelter of protecting the rights of people. People have their freedom to overthrow the tyranny, but they could not do it without guns. So the gun ownership is an individual right guaranteed by the Second Amendment of the Constitution. Although the Constitution confirms all the freedom of citizens, they are still afraid if the government goes to the bad. So people rely on the guns. Times have passed and circumstances, the government of the USA stays away from the danger of tyranny, the purpose of gun ownership has changed. People use guns to protect themselves and their family. Guns are a part of America’s way of life. Today many people are under the impression that guns are the root of all that is evil. Who would be the person that would save a lady that was being raped? Probably someone who owns a gun and its use is not intended for evil, or what about someone that is breaking into your home? Who is the person that will save the day? Once again probably someone who owns a gun and it is not intended for the use of evil. Those people who fought for the independence of America were not evil people they were average people who hunted and farmed for a way of…

Gun control should not be in force because it only affects the people who follow the laws. If weapons were banned, that is, putting gun control into effect, the people who follow laws won’t be able to protect themselves from people who don’t abide by the laws. The main purposes of fire arms is self- protection and hunting. So if the government tries to take our weapons away from us we can just throw the 2nd amendment at them and tell them that this is unconstitutional. We understand they are trying to cut down on crime, but it is actually making the crime rates go up. In Britain the government thought it would bring the crime/murder rate down but, it actually increased about 1 million more deaths each year. The government is trying to get is ammo they are trying to limit ammo manufactures to a certain amount of ammo a day. They are also making people go into havoc and making them go crazy over ammo, so people are buying…

Guns are a threat to the world today. No one goes into a convenience store and says, “Give me all the money or else,” without some type of weapon, and 90% of the time that weapon is a gun. Think of how much better this world would be without guns. Teens would not be getting into the kind of trouble they are getting into today. Without the driving force of a handgun, young people would never think of robbing a bank, breaking into a house, or worse, killing someone. The violence of today’s teens would drastically decrease if guns were not in the picture.…

Gun violence is one main thing that tears families apart. Crazy, non-educated people roam the streets with dangerous weapons killing people and causing tragedies. Society would have done better if only police had the access to weapons and guns instead of civilians and criminals, although they could be confiscated. Gun violence incidents have been happening for a very long time, most of the time without a reason. Shootings, robberies, etc. all include the use of a weapon like a gun. These things happen every day. For example, if someone is trying/planning on killing someone, they won’t be able to do that without a weapon. Guns are meant for self-defense, people like gangsters don’t use them the way they’re supposed to be used, but why? Using them not the right way will get them in trouble and do nothing but get them thrown in jail, just use guns in the proper form, for self-defense, not homicidal kills. It is important to always stay cautious of your…

Americans seem to have a love for guns. In the United States gun ownership and gun control are huge political and social issues. Although there are many Americans that would argue that guns ownership is wrong and that there should be stricter gun control laws in the country, there are many more that believe the opposite to be true. The United States, with less than 5 percent of the world’s population, has about 35–50 percent of the world’s civilian-owned guns, according to a report by the Switzerland-based Small Arms Survey, it ranks number one in firearms per capita. The United States also has the highest homicide-by-firearm rate among the world’s most developed nations (Masters). If this is true, then why the fascination for guns in the…
