Ap English Language Learning Assessment
I wait for the library to open and went there and took the assessment test and also it was a lot helpful with the tool and practice also the audio they use to explain to you how it’s been done and how you use it. It’s detailed and also when you want to hear to make sure you could go back and replay. I may be rusted and forget about some of the verbs and noun. Well going through the audio, it helps a lot. I was surprise for my grade for the assessment I took I didn’t know I was that bad, but I’m glad there are practice in it that I could study and learn to catch up. Even though we be having Christmas break, I would still go in on my free time just to review and be ready for my next assignment or classes next year. I know I got on a bad start

When we first started teaching and we reflected on our instruction practices, we found that students did not understand their purpose for learning. We wanted them to make a connection from the content area to the real world. When students understand exactly what they’re supposed to learn and what their work will look like when they learn it, they’re better able to monitor and adjust their work, select effective strategies, and connect current work to prior learning (Brookhart, S., Moss, C., 2014)…

In the 21st Century, what it means to be literate is rapidly changing. I believe that this change requires students to be equipped with a high level of literacy skills to enable them to become critical thinkers and creative problem-solvers who continue to expand their skills, and use them independently and collaboratively. Throughout this report, I have explored the theoretical influences that have impacted the way I view the teaching and learning of Australian English literacy education. Through the examination and analysis of didactic, authentic, functional and critical pedagogies, have explained why a combination of pedagogies is necessary to provide a balanced approach when delivering 21st Century English literacy education.…

Reading has always said to be the key to success, for it encourages learning. Yet, philosophers such as the German Arthur Schopenhauer state that reading too much actually is bad for the mind. I qualify these thoughts as I too agree that the excessiveness of reading may bond the mind’s creativity and freedom, yet feeding on other’s insights is also vital for a well-rounded mindset.…

According to Brittani K. Roy, the dropout rate for American Indians is 8.4 percent, compared to the Anglo dropout rate of 2.7 percent. While 62 percent of all U.S. high school students go to college, only 17 percent of Native American high school students do so (2011). My philosophy for Navajo students who are considered English Language Learners (ELL) need to have a better education meaning qualified teachers, accommodations, and programs to improve the areas they are lacking. When they receive a better education the dropout rate will decrease and the Navajo Nation will improve overall. My philosophy of what I believe are; utilizing native language, teacher and student communication, providing manipulatives, and using scaffolding in lessons.…
