Hi,
HOW DO I GO ABOUT SETTING UP TO START THIS? I NEED HELP

1. You have been asked to prepare a speech to deliver to an industry group about the following topic:

The unabated continuation of the proliferation and fragmentation of the health professions.
Perhaps the best place to start is taking a position on this statement. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Have you researched this topic? What is fragmentation? What do the experts in the field say? Is fragmentation alive and thriving, or is there a move away from fragmentation? If not, should actions be taken to slow this trend down? How?
It is often important to begin by defining your concept e.g., fragmentation and perhaps giving an illustrative example. It is often important to give examples in your speech to concretize your ideas for your audience.
Let’s take a closer look now at the following questions through discussion and example. I provided many examples to draw on, so please keep what fits.
Briefly, begin with an Introduction (about ¼ page providing a definition of fragmentation and a purpose statement e.g., the purpose of the report is to…). Then use the following questions as a tentative outline to organize your speech. Conclude with a brief summary of the main points.

A. What are the desirable aspects of this Fragmentation

B. And what are the undesirable aspects of this fragmentation?

C. Should actions be taken to slow or stop this trend? If so, what should be done and how can it be achieved?

This is a summary of the past work done throughout this course, the content in this paper is mainly derived from the work in the papers that follow. In the first assignment APHI Consultancy Orientation Form, it gave me a brief introduction into what the project for the course was going to be. I picked the Medical Liaison because I thought it would be interesting to explore the different ways healthcare was made efficient in the region I chose of California. That then led into my first paper for the class which was The Limits of Healthcare. In that paper, I looked at the trends of physicians in the state such as numbers, salaries and hospital distribution, and if increasing then in the way it was done in the past should be done. I concluded that that course of action should not be taken because it would strain the healthcare system further and give the hospitals an unfair monopoly.…

To keep an audience’s attention and to effectively get a main topic across, a format should be followed. The format is going to consist of an introduction. The introduction works as an ice breaker and gives the audience an idea of what you will be speaking about and if done correctly will grab their attention. Following the introduction will be the main body of the speech. Your ideas and points will be delivered in this portion. The final portion of your speech will be the conclusion. The conclusion will wrap up your main ideas and restate them to the audience. Upon completion of the conclusion your ideas and main points should be well understood. If the outline of a speech is followed, your ideas should flow easily from one to another. Not following a general format can confuse you and your audience.…
