ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY – CHEATING HELP STUDENTS LEARN BETTER

Plagiarism, or basically known as cheating have been applied widely among the students nowadays. Having a friend text message test answers, extracting the discussions from various websites to complete the assignments and buying essays online are all ways in which students cheat in the class. Some of them claimed that cheating help them learn better, but in any extents, I seriously disagree with that kind of statement based on a plenty of reasons.

Some experts of cheating argue that students will tend to have a good chance in scoring an ‘A’ for every subject taken and hence, passed the exam with flying colours, be in the dean’s list, and become popular. Well, hold on a second. Does the status stay on the first place forever? Absolutely, not guaranteed, and I refute that. They may be able to answer all the exam questions by cheating, but students will not learn what they missed after that. For example, a student can get the answer by texting friends for a topic that he or she did not study or focus before, but after the examination finished, the student will definitely not care about it anymore. He or she is more likely looking forward and focusing on the next paper rather than thinking about the past paper taken. Time will pass by, and when the final examination is just around the corner, the student will regret of what he or she did. The question is, will the students manage to cheat and score ‘A’s for the courses taken over again? Why would students take risks of cheating instead of being honest to the knowledge? Therefore, cheating does not help students learn better, but bitter.

Furthermore, cheating could bring a risk in which students may be caught guilty; not only for the one who copied the answers, but the one who give
