The people hiding in the attic commonly known as the secret Annexe. The secret Annexe consists of Mr. and Mrs. Frank, Anne Frank, Margot Frank, Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan, and Peter Van Daan, however the most troublesome character was Anne Frank. Mr. Dussel tries to console Anne to make her quiet down, but she continues to scream asking to be saved. I think that it was not very wise of Anne to not listen to Mr. Dussel. She should have listened to Mr. Dussel, because if the Green Police heard her screaming, they all could have been caught. Even though Anne was laborious she was also a kind preson sometimes, becaus eon Hanukkah every one is upset of not having a real Hanukkah this year. Anne comes to save the day, because she made gifts for everyone. A cross word puzzle book for Margot, shampoo for Mrs. Van Dann, hand made cigars for Mr. Van Daan, an I.O.U for Mrs. Frank, a muffler for Mr. FRank, a razor for Peter, a toy for Mouschi, and hand made earbuds for Mr. Dussel. This view of a good Anne seems convincing at first, but you can tell that she does this to prove that she is a grown lady and doesn't want people to treat her as a child anymore. She just wanted to show everybody that she is a civilized women, when she actually still acts just like a child. If she was truly this thoughtful she woud not have made everyone's every day life so difficult and

Born on June 12, 1929, in Frankfurt, Germany, Annelies Marie Frank was a Holocaust victim and a famous diarist. Judging from her diary, she was a outgoing, spirited child that got in trouble frequently. Her father, Otto Frank, was a businessman while her mother, Edith, stayed home taking care of Anne and her older sister, Margot. Her sister, Margot, was three years older than her. Anne Frank's family lived a tranquil life before the Nazis pervaded the land in World War II. After the Dutch surrendered to the Nazis, the Nazis demanded the Margot was to go to a work camp. The family then hid in the empty space of Otto Frank's business company called the secret annex for two years in Amsterdam .On August 4, 1944, a German secret police officer accompanied by four Dutch Nazis stormed into the Secret Annex, arresting everyone that was hiding there. Anne Frank's family was betrayed by an anonymous tip, still anonymous to this day. Anne and her sister was sent to a concentration camp, and died of typhus in the early springtime of March 1945. Anne Frank was only fifteen when she died, and…

The holocaust was a time of pain, and misery; of loss, and death for six million innocent people. Sometimes, though, when faced with a plethora of appalling statistics that illustrate the immensity of this genocide, we lose sight of the individual victims themselves. It is helpful at such times to narrow our focus to an instance or two, to close our eyes to the devastation played out on a vast scale, in order to appreciate the suffering each individual or families experienced. At Stratford, "The Diary of Anne Frank," written by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hacket, which is adapted by Wendy Kesselman permitted me to do just that. This compelling play confines the action of the story to a concealed storage attic, in which the claustrophobic realities…

In the beginning of the play, Anne was a very immature thirteen year old girl. She always tried to have fun out of every situation. She was very fun- loving and playful. For example, Anne said, “ Good evening everyone. Forgive me if I don’t stay. I have a friend waiting for me in there. My friend Tom. Tom Cat. Some people say we look alike. But Tom has the most beautiful whiskers and I only have a little fuzz. I am hoping in time…” This shows that Anne was very immature and liked to play around. It didn’t appear she realized the seriousness of the holocaust at that time.…

Anne may be living in terrible conditions, but she sees it in a positive viewpoint saying that it is like being on vacation. It can be argued that this positive attitude did not help Anne because she ended up being killed during the Holocaust. Anne may of not survived the Holocaust because of her positive attitude, but it made it easier to live and enjoy life in the terrible situation. Anne also made it better by making the living conditions more cheerful. Anne wrote, “Thanks to Father--who brought my entire postcard and movie-star collection here beforehand--and to a brush and a pot of glue, I was able to plaster the wall with pictures. It looks much more cheerful” (374). Anne once again is making the best out of her conditions by decorating her room and making it more cheerful. People also got through conflict by looking at the good things in life and blocking out the negative things. In Dear Miss Breed, there was a letter from a girl by the name of Louise Ogawa. Louise was being sent to a relocation camp in Arizona. The letter…

Proven by The Diary of a Young Girl, by Anne Frank, the play by Francis Goodrich and Albert Hackett The Diary of Anne Frank, does not have a justified use of dramatic license because the authors twist the characters to be very different than real life, the story is misleading to the readers about a historical time, and there was an absence of characters in the play.…

She is an orphan girl with a big imagination and constantly lets her daydreams get in the way of her chores. On one occasion she forgot all about covering the plum pudding sauce because she was imagining she was a nun, which caused a mouse to drown in it. On another occasion, she pretended to be a Lily Maid and “enjoyed the romance of her situation to the full. Then something happened not at all romantic,” she nearly drowned in the pond (Mongomery 223). Anne tries to be sensible in order to please Marilla, but no matter how hard she tries, trouble is always lurking around the corner. She does however, claim that she never makes the same mistake twice. The film is able to convey Anne’s passion and enthusiasm towards life, even when she gets herself in a rut, but through all of her mistakes, she transitions from a careless child, to a young sensible woman who will sacrifice anything for her family.…

In the two-act play of The Diary of Anne Frank, by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, Mrs. Frank enters the Secret Annex with her husband and two daughters, Margot and Anne. Margot is a mature, quiet, and obedient child; on the contrary, Anne is out-going, flirtatious, and accomplishes things her way. Consequently, due to Margot's more desirable character traits, Mrs. Frank appreciates her older daughter more than Anne. Mrs. Frank's obsession of favoring Margot over Anne is apparent in Act 1, yet her unhealthy habit improves in Act 2 by showing an equal amount of concern amongst her two daughters.…

She has learned that through hard times she can still find the happiness in life and can focus on them. Anne did not just make it through challenging times, she thrived through challenging times. We all should notice that no matter what was going on, Anne was seeing the joy and good in not only life, but in people as well. She showed us who she really was through this life changing experience. Anne demonstrates that we should keep our head held high when we face the struggles of life. If Anne Frank can see the good in things while being persecuted, I know I can. I have learned from the Holocaust that no matter who you are, what you look like, your race, religion, or anything you can think of, we are equal. Now you are probably thinking, “shouldn’t she already know that?” The Holocaust has helped me to see it in a different way. It also showed me how cruel and selfish humans can be and how cruel and selfish I can be. A lesson all humans should know is that we are one. We are equal. Anne once said, “‘I don’t think of all the misery, but the beauty that still remains,’”…

She finds whatever she can use to become useful in cooking or being organized, she is more concerned with making her family happy and satisfied that she forgets about her own needs. The society calls this woman misunderstood because even though she takes care of her family in a kind manner, she is unhappy because she isn’t making time for her happiness. Anne says again “I have been her kind.”…
