Should Animals Testing Be Illegal

According to statistics on AnimaltestingFacts.zoomshare.com, over 70 million animals in the U.S are forced to be burned, blinded, and fed chemicals for cosmetics, household products, and government agencies. The products that we use everyday such as make up and soap are first tested on dogs, cats, rats, bunnies, and other animals unless it is stated otherwise. These tests are done on animals first because they need to know if the product will harm their customers. Some people are not against animal testing and some are and I am definitely one of those people who are against animal testing. According to the Animal Welfare Act of 1966 these tests are not obliged or needed for product testing, but companies do it in secret to protect themselves from getting sued.
Animal testing should be illegal because animals have rights to life and the testing results would be inaccurate due to animals being different species than humans. The Food and Drug Administration reports,”92 out of every 100 drugs that pass on animals fail on humans". Animals have the right to live without being tested on. Animals have souls, they sense fear, feel pain, show emotion, and build relationships just like humans do. Animals are man's best friend, they are innocent. I believe that Human beings and many animals have similar organ systems and body processes. Experiments on animals supposedly help increase the knowledge on how the human body works . In the United States, scientists perform experiments on more than twenty million animals each year, which is too many animals. Finally, it has been proven they scientist can now test the products for our safety on other subjects besides animals. They are more expensive and take longer observations so not many scientists use it because they want to keep their profit. It is difficult for anyone to justify animal testing simply as a means of maintaining corporate profits. They use animals to study the causes of

The United States ranked forty-second in the world for life expectancy and infant mortality. The effects of the tests are not similar because animals are different than humans. Animal lives are being wasted because scientists still use Animal Testing even though they do new drug tests on humans. An estimated 26 million animals are used every year in the United States fir various types of testing. These animals are used for scientific and commercial testing to develop medical treatments, determine toxicity of medications and chemicals, check the safety of products destined for human use and other biomedical or healthcare purposes. This testing on animals is cruel, inhumane and should be banned. It should be banned because the animals are held and live in inhumane conditions, it is harmful and at times lethal to the animals and there are other research method available that do not require animal testing.…

The first reason why we shouldn’t have animal testing is because animals are getting hurt or abused. “Over 100 million animals are burned, crippled, poisoned, and abused in US labs every year.” The chemicals that the people are using are burning or other worse things to them. The chemicals that they use on the animals could hurt or kill them. Over half of side effects cannot be detected in…

Regulatory agencies across the globe make it mandatory for companies to get their 'products' tested for toxicity before making them available in the market. These 'products', which range from prescription drugs to cosmetics, are tested on animals to check for the degree of skin irritation, skin penetration, eye irritation, carcinogenicity, etc. On the basis of these tests, it is determined whether the said product is fit for human use or not.…

Why should animals not have the same rights that humans do? Maybe because they cannot talk, read books, or drive cars, but neither can some humans for that matter. So why is it that when an experiment, which was conducted to help treat type 2 diabetes, killed 203 people, it was halted immediately, although millions of animals die each year due to scientific experimentation? The answer is that many believe that animals are worthless or are not worth as much as human beings are, so they are therefore dispensable. The problem with that is animals are living things just like humans. Therefore, like human beings, they understand fear and experience pain. They also feel excitement and happiness. So why should they be denied the same basic rights that humans have? The answer to that question is that they should not be. Animals deserve the same rights that humans have, so testing that jeopardizes animal life, and safety should come to a cease immediately in the same way that it would if the same testing were to be conducted on human beings.…

Animal testing has always been a dispute between people; some people think it’s morally wrong and some people think it helps with medical and scientific breakthroughs. Drugs that people use or cosmetics that are used could have been tested through animals before being stocked on shelves. About 800 animals are tested on before a drug is passed to clinical trials (“Is animal”). Many animals get tested on, but many like mice, rabbits, hamsters, monkeys, dogs, cats, pigs, and some other animals get tested on. Animals can be used to find new advances in medical treatment and check safety for products, but these animals that get tested on can go through pain and death. Animal testing is wrong and should be stopped because…

Animal testing has been a topic of debate for many generations. It is difficult to imagine a common house hold pet subjected to extreme procedures of the mildest and painless form to the harshest form imaginable. I am talking about your average mouse, rabbit, cat or dog. At the same time, consumers want to be assured they are using the safest products available, and people want science to find cures for life-threatening diseases. Lately, science has tried to prove out theories and hypnosis through computer algorithms but we still have to rely on physical subjects like the animals referenced. There is no public argument that says we should not test products before entering the market, the debate is the method by which these products should be tested. Animal testing is necessary for biomedical research, but should be eradicated for vanity reasons in terms of cosmetics.…

Approximately, more than 115 million animals worldwide are used in laboratory experiments every year (Humane Society International, 2010). Animals, from the fruit fly to the mouse, are widely used in scientific research. Research is critical for the advancement of medicine, leading to increased chances of survival from diseases and improved strategies to prevent them. Without animal experiments, transplants, diseases, cancer, and vaccines would not have been advanced. The use of animals can be inevitable, particularly in conditions that require first-hand understanding of biochemical processes in and outside the body. Therefore, animals should be used for scientific research.…

Each year in the United States, an estimated seventy million animals are hurt and killed in the name of science by private institutions, household products and cosmetics companies, government agencies, educational institutions, and scientific centers. Animal testing is wrong and downright mean. Innocent animals should not be treated badly and caused pain for the sake of a human 's safety. Many people think animal testing is good while others think it is wrong. I think it is completely and absolutely wrong. Some people argue that humans are not necessarily superior to animals, so why should animals be experimented on and made to suffer to protect human beings? Do you know what animal testing is, what condition the animals live in, and what some alternatives to testing animals are?…
