Life is sorrowful when a thing goes to awful but people do not recognize it so it made to seem silly. In Animal Farm, Orwell depicts that most animals are mentally and spiritually controlled by human in the beginning and by pigs after the rebellion. At first, when animals have the same goal to drive away Mr.Jones, everything goes fine. However, after they reach the goal, pigs pop out and want to take control of the whole farm. Other animals in the beginning support pigs because they think that pigs are smart and insightful about the animal farm’s future. The perfect plan for the development of animal farm is that pigs give mental support and other animals give physical support. “Must” is the hint for audience to see what kind of position Boxer is in. Even when things go to totally incorrect and immoral, pigs can confuse other animals right and wrong, just like Squealer tricks them, “I could show you this in his own writing, if you were able to read it.” (Orwell 81) Orwell tries to make fun in this scene, funny with sorrow. How come other animals know the truth, they cannot even read a single word, how can they read the recorded document. In this way, Orwell helps his audience to recognize that being tricked mentally reflects that these animals are silly. In the book Mrs. Dalloway, Woolf mentions about Peter’s efforts toward Clarissa. Peter has his own grief about Clarissa refuses his proposal. after years, Peter says, “I often wish I’d got on better with your father,”(Mrs Dalloway 54) Peter regrets that he did not put more efforts on get along with Clarissa’s father so that he has more chance to marry Clarissa.
