An Anesthesiologist is a physician that utilizes anesthesiology, the study of anesthetics and anesthesia, to provide medical care to patients. These physicians need extensive training and a substantial amount of knowledge in the medical field to qualify for their job. Anesthesiologists work with medicine on a daily basis so it is important that they have certain skills such as critical thinking, reading comprehension, math, and science. These physicians require extreme patience since they will be working for long hours. Anesthesiologists are responsible for a multitude of things: for example, caring for a patient before, after and even during an operation or surgery.
