My club soccer team sat in the same Taco Mac to watch every game the national team played in that 2011 World Cup. As most of us were just starting high school that summer, we could relate to Morgan. I was a rising freshmen and being the youngest in the school trying out for a varsity sport is always hard. Once I received news I was on the Varsity soccer team I was excited but I knew that was only the beginning. I would be starting center mid with two other seniors who had experience and been on the team for three years. The season was tough after losing in the first round of the state playoffs but in the end I scored 13 goals for the team my freshmen year. Alex Morgan’s effort really pushed me that season.
