Diet: Is it a good way to keep health?

Diet is one of the way to keep health our body, because it arranges our eating style and what food that we should eat in every day. It is very good for metabolism system in our body, so we can get health easily if we arrange our eating style. Now, not only women do it, but men also. Both of them want to make their body always in good condition.
Sometimes, people start a diet program without any knowledge or information about it before. They just choose it because they assume that diet can give good effects for their body in a short time. We can call it as fad diet where dieters can lose their weight fast. According to Kip Hardy, a registered dietician in Atlanta explains, “The hallmark of a lot of fad diets popularized in the last few years is that they reduce or increase the intake of a macro nutrient – fats, carbohydrates and proteins – to the extreme,” “you can’t take any one of these away to a significant level for a significant amount of time…..it’s just not healthy.” In this case, we realize that losing weight may be the main goal of this diet for many people.
Some women who want an ideal body shape do diet program. Usually they decrease their eating portion. Even they do not eat carbohydrates for several times. They do it in order to get slim fast without think about the effect. Of course if we do not consume carbohydrates for several times we will lose weight, but it is unhealthy. However, our metabolism needs carbohydrate, because it is our main source of energy.
Diet does not mean we have to decrease our eating portion extremely to lose our weight, but how we balance our eating habit with exercise that we do in every day or every week. So we can get health and weight loss in a good way.

A diagram from the article “Benefits of Maintaining a Healthy Body Weight” describes that health can we get from healthy food and exercise, like cycling. These two aspects also help dieters to get healthy weight.

I believe while they have many testimonials singing the praises of this eating plan, it does fit the bill for a fad diet. The first red flag is the complete halt on eating dairy, grains and legumes, and the limitation of fruits and certain high starch vegetables. There is not necessarily one fad diet that people turn to in efforts to lose weight, but a variety of them that all serve the same purposes. The primary goals of fad diets are to show quick results, easy implementation into daily routine and remarkable improvements in the overall views a person holds of themselves. They do this by specifying which individual foods or combinations of foods should be eaten, setting certain times people must eat and even completely eliminating certain types of foods from someone’s usual diet (Freedman, 2013).…
