“Response to Executive Order 9066” by Dwight Okita, and “Mericans” by Sandra Cisneros were excellent stories to read. The theme American Identity really shined through when I read these stories. Although they are very different, they are also very similar. In the end it taught me that whatever cultural background you were from, or how you looked, it does not determine what being american means.
