I love it how Fuschia keeps their products' packaging simple yet beautiful. :) It also has a layer a transparent film packaging which protects the soap from getting damaged.

When you remove the transparent film, you will be greeted by very strong and "woody" smell of Khus. It didn't come with an ingredients card like most of the Fuschia products do, I guess they forgot to include it with my package. :P The soap is green in colour and has kinda gradient (or ombre?) effect.

I stopped using soaps long back because most of them were making my skin extremely dry and stretchy. This is the only soap I have used in last few year. It rather felt like I was bathing with a bar of glycerine! (Minus the greasiness) It felt very delicate and mild on skin. Most importantly, it didn't cause dryness or stretchy-ness at all. I even used it on my face and didn't feel anything unusual. It is hard to believe that such awesome soap exists in this world especially when you have had a bad experience with most of them! :\ About the smell.. It smells very strong for initial minutes or like 1 hour after the bath then slowly fades away. I can notice a faint smells hours later which isn't bothersome. If you can't handle (or don't like) the smell of Khus then you should go for some other variant, maybe they're as good as this one! :) I think I'd prefer using this during summers because that's when

If you want to buy a soap just because it is cheap and it cleans your skin then go for those soaps priced at Rs.50-60/- or even less, but if you want a soap that cleans your skin without changing its texture then do try Fuschia's Handmade soaps. Yep, they're bit pricey and I really don't like buying expensive stuff (since I'm just a student at the moment and my lovely dad has to pay for everything I buy :P)like most of you, but the performance of this soap has won me over and that's the reason I won't cut any points (for the first and last time :P)..

Rating - 5/5! :)

PR Sample, Brutally honest review! :P

Final words on Fuschia's products - It was my first time trying their products and I honestly loved all three of them. It's a fairly new brand and still needs some improvements on prices and packagings(of their lip balms only), I hope they would do that in near future. Meanwhile, I'd definitely recommend you all to try their products and let me know how the performed for you! They also sell medical equipments so whenever you need (I hope you don't :P), you can buy them from VKare Biosciences site!

In 1954 on a business trip to Europe, Stolaroff heard of an unusual soap developed by Dr. Edmond Fromont, a Belgian cosmetic chemist. Fromont’s patented formula produced an unusually mild, clear soap that rinsed quickly and easily from the skin, leaving essentially no soap residue. Eleven minutes after washing with this unique soap, the skin was able to return to its normal pH - just one minute more than if it had been washed with only plain water! Hence the name, “Neutrogena.”…

There is not one person who knows where or when soap was first made. A rough soap was used in France in about A.D. 100. By the 800s Spain was the leading soap producer. In about 1200 England started to make soap. In the 1700s Nicholas Leblanc discovered that lye could be made from any ordinary table salt. Lye, which is sodium hydroxide, is one of the main ingredients in soap. This discovery made soap affordable for a lot more people. North America 's soap industry began in the early 1800 's. Early settlers in North America had made their own soap in kettles. Manufacturers improvements on soap have been big. They have improved the cleaning abilities, color, fragrance, and mildness in soap. Soap is a substance made to help clean things. Fats and chemicals called alkalis are the two main ingredients in soap. Sometimes animal fats or vegetable oils like coconut oil, olive oil, palm oil, soybean oil, and corn oil are common fats used in soap making. Most common alkalis used are sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide. When you combine these fats with a water solution of an alkali and add heat the fats decompose forming glycerin and the sodium salt of the fatty acid. The key ingredient of soap is the sodium salt of the fatty acid. Before the 1940 's large kettles were used by manufacturers to make soap. Today manufacturers use steel tanks holding thousands of pounds of ingredients.…

The earliest recorded evidence of the production of soap-like materials dates back to around 2800 BC in Ancient Babylon. A formula for soap consisting of water alkali, and cassia oil was written on a Babylonian clay tablet around 2200 BC.…

    Soap Experiment

    • 2509 Words
    • 11 Pages

Soaps are sodium or potassium fatty acids salts, produced from the hydrolysis of fats in a chemical reaction called saponification. Each soap molecule has a long hydrocarbon chain, sometimes called its 'tail ', with a carboxylate 'head '. In water, the sodium or potassium ions float free, leaving a negatively-charged head. Soap is an excellent cleanser because of its ability to act as an emulsifying agent. An emulsifier is capable of dispersing one liquid into another immiscible liquid. This means that while oil (which attracts dirt) doesn 't naturally mix with water, soap can suspend oil/dirt in such a way that it can be removed.…
