It was Saturday evening when my friend and I had a handball’s practice at the field for our school’s team. Our school will participate in MSSD’s handball game next week. So that, we decided to have an extensive practice so that the students will be ready in skill, energy and showmanship between them. Suddenly, without expected there are strong wind come and the goalpost fall to one of our student. I was shocked and run towards her. When I come, I saw the blood come from her head. All the students there feel panic and scare. I asked some of her friends to carry her to my friend’s car and we quickly take her to the hospital. When we reach at the hospital, she quickly sent to the emergency room for further check up. I was very worried that time. My friend already call her family to inform them about the accident that happen to their daughter. We wait about half an hour before the doctor come and said that nothing serious happen to her. All of us feel very happy that time. Suddenly, her family come. Her grandmother look so fierce because I think she was very angry because of the accident happen to her grandaughter. I went towards her and explain everything about the situation. Finally, everythings end peacefully without any discontent among us. Not only was I terrified to start in a new school with new surroundings but now I needed to worry about my grandmother’s condition. My nerves were at an all-time peak in my life and it was a matter of time before I would have a mental breakdown. Every morning for two months I would pray for her recovery and thank God for giving her another day to live. After what felt like years of uneasiness and concern, my grandmother was finally released from one of the many hospitals she had been admitted to. My family and I could tell that although her speech and short term memory would never be the same, she would finally be coming back home. Her traumatizing experience made me come to the realization of two things, my future occupation and how important family is.…

I was waiting for my uncle to talk with him but he did not even come to my home so I thought someone is going wrong with him. After a while, someone knocks the door and I opened the door, it was my grandmother from her house. I tried to communicate with her using hand gestures, but she was not being able to understand me so I thought writing on the piece of paper is a good idea. I wrote on paper in my own language (Nepali) by saying “I was missing you from back home when you left us”. After she finishes reading papers, I was already full of tears and I talk with her using hand gestures that I want to talk with you, but she tells me I will talk to your parents and she left me. On those days, I was shocked, nervous and frustrated by seeing different attitudes towards…
