An Event That Changed My Attitude Towards Life
An accident last year changed my attitude towards life . That accident had a great impact on me , it taught me to treasure what i have and to treasure those people around me more . Although the accident was not life threatening , it was still the scariest thing i had ever been through in life . It was an accident that no one would have expected and wanted it to happen .

The accident happened sometime last year during the june holidays , while i was having my council annual camp . It was the second day of the camp and we were all playing the four corners captains ball . I love ball games , as long as it is a sport but who knew such an accident would happen on me . When the game started , students were banging and pushing everyone they see as long as they are not from the same team . As the game goes into the second half , competitiveness began to rise , actions of defending and attacking was beginning to seem more obvious . It was finally my turn to play, i was so excited that i ran around attacking and defending , supporting my teammates as an when they needed me . After a while , there was a free throw ball , therefore i decided to slow walk backwards . Before slow walking backwards , i checked that there wasn't anyone behind me just to prevent any accident to occur . After making sure that it was safe to walk backwards , i then proceeded walking backwards , but who knew a girl that was thrice my size ran pass me and i tripped over her leg and instantly fell backwards . The only thing that in my mind was not to let my head hit against the concrete ground hence i used my right hand to break my fall . I fell against the ground and my right hand lost its strength immediately . I thought that it was just a small injury therefore i just stood up , bear with the pain and walked back to my team's home ground . While i was walking back , i felt that something was wrong as i could not move my wrist area at all . Due to my CCA we are all required to learn first aid

I can’t say that there was a particular event that had a major impact in my life, but I can say I will forever treasure the experience that I have gained through my military service in the Navy. Joining the military in any branch, but particularly the Navy, is an experience that I feel everyone should have even if it’s just for a standard four year term. Over the course of my four years of service, I can definitely say without a doubt that it had a major impact in shaping the direction of my life.…

With only 3 days until our trip we were in full throttle gameplay mode and I was on the starting team’s side. Our coach decided to put the tallest and strongest hitter on the team on the other side of the court and had us try to block his hits. I was of course on the net ready to block and when he jumped into the air I followed putting everything I had into the block to stop his monster hitting power. Bam! In mid air I had managed to cover his hit but when I came down to land I had stepped under the net and consiquently landed on his foot sending me tumbling to the floor. Instantly I knew something was wrong and I crawled to the bench in agony. I was given a bag of ice and some tape to wrap it up my swollen…

I remember getting up in the morning, starting breakfast and turning on the TV just as I had on many other normal mornings. I was having Raison Bran for breakfast and looking for something interesting on TV to watch. All the stations were covering the same thing. The date, 09/11/2001. Things would never be normal again.…

A big event that has changed my life was when my older brother moved away to go to the navy. This changed my life cause I did not know if I was ever going to see him again. When he told me he was leaving and not going to be back for awhile i thought he was leaving because of me, I was a little brat back then so yeah and at the age i was i thought everything was my fault. The day my brother left was probably the saddest thing to ever happen because me and him would always hang out and play video games or walk around town or do something fun. I remember when we dropped him off at the airport i was clinched on to his leg and i was refusing to let go because I didn’t want him to leave. Now that i look back on it i think one of the reasons why i didn’t want him to leave is because he was kinda like my best friend/ role model so yeah and well he is my older brother and I didn’t want anything to happen to him.…

My accident has made me stronger. I can now face my fears because I “defied death”. Not many people can say that they would have walked away. I still am not sure how I did. All I know is that I now look at life differently. Since my car accident last year I look at life with my head held high and a smile on my face, instead of hanging my head down and staying in the background. My car accident changed my life for the better and I am very glad that it did.…

4 years ago I was at Volleyball we we're doing a drill called Ping-Pong. So it is kind of like real Ping-Pong besides the point that you are the paddle. So we we're playing it, having fun, and then. It happened. I went diving for the ball. Me and Lauren we're only ones on my team left. I was trying to save them. And then I fell. My foot and leg fell twisted at 100%. But that's not the worst part. Lauren did not even see that it happened so she kept playing. She by accident stepped on my ankle making the pain ache in my head. It felt like my ankle was being stabbed. When my friend Pene went to go get ice they all kept playing because I did not want them to quit playing because I was hurt. When Pene came back with the…

    Life Changing Events

When people talk about life changing events, they usually talk about families’ death or certain path they took, which shaped their life. Just like any other people, one of my close friends mother, who is originally from Nepal has experienced such life changing events such as leaving their home country behind for better opportunities for themselves or their loved ones, which not only changed her, but also changed the way she anticipated her life to be. When my friends’ mother left her country Nepal, she did not only leave the country itself, but also had to leave her relatives behind. Migrating from home country to another must have been hard because of language and culture barrier. I admire the step she took because it’s tough to move from a place you grew up at down to a whole new country. It must have been hard for her to make such life changing decision, but she did it anyways because she knew if she migrates from Nepal to United States, her children would have better opportunities in life. She has inspired me to be strong. She motivates me no matter what decision I make, I have to stick with it 100% and give my best at it because wherever I go or whatever I do, life will move with me. It’s my choice to either make the most of it or slouch back and cry about it. My friend’s mom is someone who I really admire. She has been through so much and she stayed strong throughout everything. I know for a fact that I will have a life changing experience just like my friends mother because in Indian traditions, we always have to migrate away from parents to go move in with the husband’s side of the family. So this would be a life changing event due to all the moving away from family. It’s hard phase of life. My other best friend had a life changing experience about her divorced parents. This was a really devastating time of her childhood. She told me that about four years ago, she had a life ‘makeover’. It was the day her parents decided to get divorced. She was fifteen…

When something changes a person’s life they will remember it forever. It doesn’t matter how big or how small it is, it will leave a permanent imprint on that person’s memory. The saddest thing about that imprint staying in a person’s memory is that it could have either changed their life in a positive or negative way. In the last year, three major events have helped change and shape my life in a positive way. These three events have completely changed my life and have made me a better person overall and will always leave a good imprint in my memory.…

As I grew up my father was gone about six months out of the year, serving as a sailor in the United States Navy. Growing up all I wanted was to be more and more like my father. He would to tell me stories about some of the training missions that he went on, about how he and his unit would play war games with the Navy seals. He would tell me stories about some of the actual missions he was on, some of the places he had been, and some of the things that he had seen. The one thing that he never told me was how the military changed his life. Little did I know that beginning on September 16, 2002 my life would begin to change forever.…
