Amanda's Definition Of The American Dream
Amanda was born July 12 1977 she is now 40 and living in Ohio. Amanda wanted to graduate high school, which she did at beaver local high school 1997. During high school, she took all college prep classes. Her parents were middle class, intelligent, and her background religion is apostolic. Amanda’s father was a truck driver and her mother was a stay at home mom trying to keep up with the farm. As a child, Amanda didn’t want to be a princess she wanted to be a nurse when she grew up. As a high schooler Amanda's definition of the American dream was to achieve your self goal, better yourself and do whatever it takes for success.In her high school years Amanda and her peers had the same idea of the American dream which at that time was to go …show more content…
She stayed at home with her children instead of getting a job because through her generations the mothers stayed at home with the children. She hopes her family will be influenced by the way the have been raised and one day have an American dream they will accomplish. The dream she had is complete and some day she will have grandchildren. Which will open up a new chapter and change her life for the best.
After high school, she didn't really keep in touch with high school friends because most of them went to college to get a major. As a child, Amanda didn't think her life would ever end up like it is now. She has a great loving family, husband who works and friends when she has questions or needs help.
The technology in the 80s and 90s is totally different from today. Its way more advanced in todays time. The kind of technology they had were giant transportable phone and camcorders which were big and bulky but functional. Most people just had phone's built into the walls and just used that because transportable phones were a lot more money.
