It was predicted that more students would sit outside during Z lunch when the temperature was around 65°F to 85°F rather than 50°F to 60°F and 90°F and above. 50°F to 60°F is considered cold and below an average person’s body temperature while 90°F and above is considered too hot and above an average person’s body temperature. 65°F to 85°F is considered “perfect” because it is the closest to the average person’s body temperature. The argument that more students will sit outside when the weather was considered perfect rather than hot or cold was supported because more students sat outside when the temperature was close to…

Purchase dehumidifiers: Mold and mildew need moisture to live. By using one or more dehumidifiers inside your home, you can significantly impede these fungal growths. It may feel silly to run a dehumidifier when it's also humid outside, but unless your air conditioner has a built in dehumidifier, it could be much more humid inside. When you run a shower or run hot water, that adds moisture to your air. Simply by sitting inside your home, you could be adding as many as 3 cups of water per day to the air, through your breath and your sweat. Since most modern homes are relatively well-sealed against the outside elements, this moisture may have nowhere to go unless you regularly leave your doors and windows open. Since one of the most important parts of mold remediation is preventing the mold from growing in the first place, a dehumidifier can be an important first step to a clean home.…

Child care is one of the major issues. Children in year-round school have more frequent breaks and parents do not get time off from work to be with them. Therefore, those parents who have young children have to find a sitter or daycare to watch their child. Another disadvantage is that it may cost the school more money to operate year-round. For example, most school corporations end around May and resume around August, those months the air-conditioner is not being used. Year-round schooling would be in session during those months where the temperatures are increased, causing the school to run the air-conditioner more…

Secondly, here are tasks that should be done in the Spring to ensure proper preventative upkeep of the home. In the Spring there are four items that should be completed which are: cleaning dryer vents and screens, cleaning exhaust fans and outlets, cleaning air condition coils and drain pans, and cleaning dehumidifier coils as well as checking for proper operation. Cooling system efficiency can be greatly reduced by dirty coils. Dirt and debris can strain the cooling system, forcing it to work harder than it needs to. This extra work can result in higher electricity bills. Cleaning the AC coils will allow them to do the job they are intended to do efficiently. Dehumidification is part of your air conditioning system. The moisture removed from the air is condensed into water, which is referred to as condensate. The condensate drain removes the water and carries it to the outside of the…
