Advantages of globalization
Advantages of globalization

Globalization, growth to a global or worldwide scale, has a lot of advantages to the world. First, it makes a peace relation. Most of the countries have relations with each other in order to boost their economy. For example, they leave behind any bitter in the past if there is any. Nations now try to raise capital and strengthen their stand in international trade, rather than hosting a war. Thus, globalization has induced international peace and security in a big way. Second, it is good for free trade. In fact, Free trade is a policy in which a country does not charge taxes on the import or export of goods or services from other countries. There are countries which have resolved to free trade in specific regions. This allows consumers to buy goods and services, comparatively at a lower cost. Third, with the advent of globalization, there has been a huge increase in the transportation of goods and services worldwide. To illustrate, nowadays, we spend less time with cheaper and faster for travelling and product shipping. Fourth, globalization has promoted international connectivity. With the use of the Internet, we can see that the world has definitely become a smaller place. We can communicate with people all round the world. Fifth, countries have an understanding for the protection of the environment from which they benefit so much. It has been accepted by most countries that action needs to be taken in saving natural resources and wildlife, without thinking about the boundaries that separate them. Global environmental problems like cross-boundary pollution, over-fishing in the oceans, climate change, etc., are solved by discussions and conventions. Last but not the least, one of the most advantageous factors of globalization is employment. This happens due to the arrival of new companies and new markets, where lots of skilled and unskilled work is required. Immigration between countries also increases, providing better opportunities for people all round the world. By providing employment, globalization helps in increasing the standard of living of the people, and also reduces poverty. All in all, globalization is very beneficial to human being.

For some people, globalization is so feared it is synonymous with world destruction. In the end, for all we know, maybe this will be proven before it is over. In reality however, there are many good things that have resulted from globalization(1, Premise). Let’s for a moment focus on the economy, even though there are many other advantages that have been brought forward that will also be discussed. Many Americans do not appreciate how efficient our markets are, in this case efficiency in reference to supply and demand is number one. These efficient markets allow economies to grow. As many have learned in a global world, when one economy grows, it spurs growth in all the other economies that are connected to it. In this way, reverberations of success are felt across the world, even when they are most profound in one area. Needless to say, this is a very good thing. This is partially a result of what I just mentioned, but wealth equality around the world goes much deeper than that. Perhaps a better phrase than wealth equality is “standard of living.” Globalization does several things that are undeniable at the end of the day. First and foremost for one it creates jobs, which is a priority to the economic success of any market(2, Premise). Along with job creation it improves infrastructure while it also allows more people to live at a higher global level every day. Mainly regular access to medicine, clean water, food production, housing, etc., things we take for granted here in the United States. Many if not most third world countries do not share these same day to day things we categorize as necessities. Things they would refer to as luxuries. Globalization results in partnerships between countries and organizations, which in turn could help bring these countries along in many of these areas. This also makes relations much more stable between both. Agreements are much more frequently found by partners of vast…

Globalization is said to be the connectedness and spread of production, technologies and communication globally. It is also what trends are for. Globalization is what all of us here in this world share in common. Personally, I can say that I am quite globalized. Our generation is, so to speak. I use many things that are commonly known and also practiced worldwide. I use social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, which were created for us to communicate with everyone else around the world. Also, I patronize products such as Forever 21, Apple, Blackberry, to name a few, for my personal needs instead of buying what is locally available. In terms of food, I prefer restaurants and fast food chains which are internationally known. Instead of flying every three months to our relatives in other countries and regions, I talk to them via Skype, an international program which can make you see and talk to people around the world. I also watch shows like Gossip Girl and 90210 produced by the United States. Watching these shows influence me with the way I dress and with the way I choose things. Also, I tend to hear and use new (and improvised) words. Patronizing chick-flick movies with catchy soundtracks (also produced abroad) also interests me. Every time a video, may it be music or prank, goes viral, I tend to also watch it just to go with the “trend”. Our family also buys foreign-made cars since “they are stronger and faster”. I also watch more NBA games than our local basketball teams. These are some examples of the things I do and have which other people in all parts of the world also practice.…

Globalization has many pros and cons. In a society where fear over rules and gets in the way of moving forward, it is hard to be able to forecast the future and tomorrows actions. What one must do is relate to history and proceed with small steps. With a factor such as globalization where interconnecting on a national and global level, many nations and countries fear that by interconnecting it will increase the scale of inequality (Dickens, 2011 p. 6). This might be true to say due to the underdeveloped countries and there has to be countries with less power otherwise the would would not function properly if we were on the same level. Some countries need to be more invested to better help the lesser countries. When one fails, the other will be there to help.…

    The Pros of Globalization

Globalization is the growth of companies and businesses to a global or worldwide scale. This act of globalization can be dated as far back as Canada’s independence, as far back as the United States’ independence and probably even further back than that. If globalization has been going on for this many years then why do some people still feel obligated to purchase goods and services that have been manufactured in their native country? Is it because of preference or style? Well it could be, but more often than not, it is because the consumer feels the need to stay loyal to their country and only purchase goods that were manufactured within their own borders. It is easy to understand why someone might feel this way because they want to support the local businesses. However, the truth is, no matter how hard we might try, it is nearly impossible to escape the boundaries of globalization! So why don’t people just start to embrace it? Globalization is, and has, changed the way business is being done in a good way. Globalization creates competition within different markets throughout the world, and with more competition between companies and businesses comes more innovation. Not only does globalization inspire technology to advance but it is a much more convenient and efficient way of doing business and it is responsible for promoting peace between nations.…

Globalization helps multinational corporations to advertise and sell their products all over the world thereby benefitting them and their consumers; this is how transactional corporations benefit from globalization. The LEDC governments benefit from globalization by allowing these multinational companies to come to their countries and thereby employing the local population and raising the income of the country. The workers in many countries too benefit from globalization because most multinational companies for example Nike, Zara etc, manufacture their products in third world countries for example Bangladesh, India, Vietnam etc. this benefits the workers who would otherwise be unemployed, plus they learn new skills. Globalization helps multinational banks to invest in foreign company and deal in foreign exchange and that's how economists benefit from it.…

The ideas of globalization being the main cause of the spread of Global diseases is valid, however in these day and age it is mostly inevitable, we live in a time when people wants to travel to new places, where countries economies and food production depends on each other geographic location and their abilities to produce and trade such goods. In time where medicine and its benefits can also travel worldwide the negatives impacts that these global trading causes, does not outweigh the benefits. To me would be actually naive to try, look at all the history in time when there where no planes, people and goods travel on a much smaller rate and pace, diseases were still around they have always been and always will, we are biological beings and…

Since the Industrial Revolution happened in the period from about 1760 to sometime between 1820 and 1840, the world has gone through a quick booming and the trend of globalization is becoming more obvious in terms of the active communication and intensive trades among the countries. Nowadays, globalization becomes a common term that everyone know and can talk about. Hence, it is followed by lots of arguments because of various vision from different people. In some people's opinions, countries have benefited a lot from globalization. The free trade is one of the opportunities that globalization brings and it enables the circulation of currency and boost the economical development. Whereas others may not think this way. They think that globalization makes the poor poorer . It reduces the opportunities for them to reach the upper level of life and stresses their lives. However, I will say that we should not see globalization as a one-way street. Its impacts on different countries depends on how the countries respond to it and sometimes may depends on the geographical locations. It may be one of the reasons that makes the poor poorer, but it is not the only one.…

Globalization is "the integration of states through increasing contact, communication and trade to create a single global system in which the process of change increasingly binds people together in a common fate." Some economists see globalization as being in the best interest of all states involved, while others believe that increasing modern trade and global economic relations is harmful in many ways. While globalization marks a move in the direction of a more open world-trading government, it can also be connected to damages on independence, making countries lose the ability to be totally independent. As a result, issues of globalization and free trade are surrounded by an excited debate and controversy.…
