When you turn 18 you have many responsibilities and privileges in the United States. You are allowed to vote, get married adopt a child. You are now considered an adult. There are expectations that are now required of you. In adulthood you are expected to act a certain way. You are expected to make decisions and carry out your responsibilities that can and will affect you life. However our cultures approach to childhood is hypocritical and has damaged the adulthood of some people as a cause and effect. When a person turns 18 there are advantages as well as disadvantages. However you cannot but liquor until you are 21 because they feel people under the age of 21 are immature. Some argue that the mind is not developed completely until you are 21.
