This essay is a reflection of my inquiry based learning on Adolescent mother and the knowledge I gained through this type of learning process. It not only helped me better understand about adolescent mother, but also helped me recognize causes symptoms like post natal depression to adolescent mother and the best care option to properly manage this kind of condition . So, while learning about adolescent mother through enquiry based learning process, I found post natal depression a very curious theme and need thorough studies so, I collected various artefacts related to post natal depression and uploaded into my portfolio to have better insight on adolescent mother, their condition after birth and the type of care they required to have better living.

At the beginning I had very basic knowledge about the adolescent mother but the inquiry based learning on adolescent mother in my class room helped me a lot to further enhance my knowledge and understanding. Through this process of learning into a group, each group brought about new issues and the new ways to provide a better nursing care to adolescent mother. Every one of us then participated actively to analyse the theme. Several questions that aroused in the class had helped us to get different perspectives on that topic. So, this group session helped me have a clear knowledge of adolescent mother, problems they face during pregnancy and after birth and also requirement of better nursing care for the problems like post natal depression that they face after the birth of a baby. During this group Session at class, I became very curious about the post natal depression that majority of adolescent mother are facing today. So, I decided to choose artefacts based on post natal depression to learn more about it and to identify best care option to treat this condition on adolescent mother.
