Reason for Research:
Did you know although a majority of teachers feel they are able to differentiate instruction effectively to meet individual students' learning needs, mathematics teachers were less likely to report being able to do so; students from low-income families and those who had learning difficulties were more likely than other students to rate their teachers as weak in this area (MetLife, 2011). With saying a task force was put together to provide recommendations on the best method to instructing the math curriculum and increasing test scores within our school district.
