A Career In College
College is a time of both academic and personal growth. I plan on attending medical school upon completion of my bachelor's degree. To me, practicing medicine is more than just the biological aspect, it involves understanding humans at all levels. A background in psychology or sociology will give me an edge in the nonbiological areas of patient care. Aside from that, when I do end up going to medical school, I am not expecting to have much of a choice when it comes to what classes to take and when to take them. Studying psychology or sociology in college is going to be now of the only opportunities that I will have to study what interests me.

For a very long time this was my only goal in life: to go to college so I can get a well-paying job to afford the lifestyle that I want to live. I never put much thought into what…
