Volunteers, the selfless human beings, are of huge value to any non-profit organization. Not only do these people help saving money for the institution, they also immensely contribute to spread smiles and make human life better. Some of the major duties that are taken care by volunteers are they are liable for policy-making and assuring that the organization has adequate funds. Even though volunteers do all the work only out of care and concern, they still have the goals for the organization set forth. They are the pillars for the organizational strength. With the limited funds and resources, they come forward as an extra hand that enables an institution to accomplish their tasks and activities. The non-profits require more flexibility in hiring standards and norms. Sure enough these people work out of their willingness and to make society a better place and therefore they are identified as a critical asset to the non-profit organizations. Steps should be taken to attract more and more Millennials. The plan to include millennials for the organizational work is a project itself. The young age workforce can bring more and more energy, innovative ideas, and enthusiasm to the organization. Therefore, public as well as non-profit should adopt a better assessment system to attract a diverse age group to work with (Kopan, 2014).
