The women that had the great idea of an adoption agency was Louise Waterman Wise. The name of the first adoption agency was Free Synagogue Child Adoption Committee but was later changed to Louise Wise Services in honor of the founder Louise Wise Services. What the agency did was parents that didn’t want their kid or couldn’t take care of it gave their children to these women and the women would give the children to people that deserved them. In high school there are a few classes in high school that you should take in high school, like, Human Services and you can also doing services in your family and community. If you plan on getting a job in social work then you better go to college. What you need to get in college is a Bachelor’s in social work degree. If you for sure want to become a social worker then you will also have to major in psychology and sociology. Even with those classes you will only get a lower ranked job if you want one that is higher you will have to get a higher degree in college and in Iowa you have to be licensed in 2 different classes: Adoption Investigator and Social Worker. Some things that you have to be willing to do is have patience with others and be willing to help people. This career will take an emotional toll on you. You will have to be stable in you life with you family, friends, and children. Other things that has happened is people get attached to the children they are helping and want to adopt the child.
