My interest in nutrition began while in high school when I committed myself to improving my athletic performance in cross country running. Fortunately, I grew up in a family that understood the benefits of a balanced diet and was able to take away the importance that fruits and vegetables play in the body. As this interest grew I decided to pursue a degree at Montana State University and am currently planning on furthering my education after graduating. When I have acquired the necessary knowledge, I plan on returning to my home Alaska, and working towards increasing the accessibility and awareness of the importance of a balanced diet. I’m highly motivated to better my home state in a field that both fascinates…

I heard the murmur of their voices as I crossed the hall; the newly wedded couple had just sat down for dinner together, they had arrived only an hour ago. I entered the room to see Rebecca, her dark ash-brown hair, flowing like silk as it trailed down behind her dainty, gentle shoulders. I just couldn’t help to think, what kind of woman she was. I set down the plates, not speaking a word to either Sir or the new Madam; I was not in a position to talk to either of them, as that was not my responsibility. Madame, was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. She seemed so comfortable being herself. She was so lovely, so accomplished, so amusing. This was my first meeting with her, and already I was in awe of her. She had the perfect breeding to be Sir’s wife, she was incredibly beautiful and as time went I on, I realised she had the brains and confidence to outwit anyone. She was entirely different to the second Mrs De Winter.…

Diana Frances Spencer, better known as Princess Diana or Lady Di was born in 1961 in Norfolk; she was the younger daughter of Edmund Roche and Frances Rosche. In 1964 Diana’s parents divided and her mother remarried Peter Kydd. Diana’s education came from a private boarding school for girls in Norfolk. In 1977, after finishing her education Diana went to see her father to join him and her sister Sarah in attending an event knowing that wealthy upper class royalty were on the guest list. This would be the first encounter with Charles the Prince of Whales, but it wasn’t until a 1980 festivity after a polo match that she would run into Prince Charles again. Fast forward a little over a year to February 1981 when Prince Charles proposed, and Diana accepted; the engagement was officially announced on February 24th at a press conference. During that press conference the two were asked if they were in love, Diana responded with ‘of course’ and Charles with ‘whatever love is’ which much later in time would be reflected back on revealing a more accurate image of what the marriage truly entailed (Reynolds, 2011).…

I walked in on the first day of freshman year, not knowing what the school year held in store for me. I had no idea what classes and teachers were assigned to me. We went to our first period, which for me was Geometry. The bell rang and came second period. My schedule said "Public Speaking," but I did not have a clue on what that was. I began to get tense and anxious because surprises are not my thing. The teacher walked in and said, "Hi, welcome to Public Speaking. You'll be learning how to speak in front of a large group of people. We will be reading speeches and also debating against one another." My heart dropped. I started to get even more edgy. All my life before freshman year, I struggled tremendously to speak in front of a class. My…
