My company is called Communications Intellect Inc. It is designed to help students along with people in the work force to learn how to communicate better. Even if you’re a great communicator already, we guarantee our services will give you outstanding knowledge and improve your communication skills. We started our first office in Orlando, Florida in May 2010 and are spreading out consistently over the past two years. Our goal is to have at least one office within a ten mile radius of all the main campus, state universities in Florida to really improve communication skills with students who are entering the work force. Our current locations include; Orlando, Tampa, Tallahassee, Gainesville, Miami, Sarasota, Fort Meyers, and Jacksonville. We hold all kinds of workshops from, how to communicate on a professional level to other professionals, to learning how to communicate negative news effectively to students or employees, and even how to improve your communications skills to get you ready for interviews and internships. Because we are spreading out vastly, we are constructing a plan to buy 1,500 desktops and 500 laptops for the company. I will further explain three different types of each and why I chose the two that I did for future projects and overall success of the company.
First, I will explain the Dell Latitude E6530 laptop. Configuration details include: 3rd gen Intel Core i3-3110M Processor (2.4 GHz, 3m cache). Operating systems include: Windows 7 Professional, No Media, 64-bit, English. This is a great program for the projects that our company is assigned. Graphics include: Intel HD Graphics 4000. LCDs: 15.6’ HD (1366x768) Anti-Glare WLED-backlit. This computer has great graphics, perfect for presentations. Hardware support services include: 3 year ProSupport with 3 year NBD Onsite U3IPY service after Remote Diagnosis. This is always a great feature to have if something were to ever go wrong. Also, includes 3 year accidental damage service. Memory includes: 4.0GB, DDR3-1600MHz SDRAM, 1 DIMM. This is a significant amount of memory for the work our company does. Includes an internal English dual Pointing keyboard, and a noise cancelling digital array microphone, also perfect for group projects and presentations. The mechanical hard drive includes a 128 GB mobility solid state drive. Includes: Dell wireless 1504 802.11g/n single band Wi-Fi half mini card. The primary battery includes a 6-cell 960WH) primary lithium ion battery, (2.8Ah) express charge capable. Security software includes: Trend micro worry-free business security services, 36 months. This is also a great feature for protections purposes. The processor branding includes: Intel core i3 label. The price for this laptop is $1,421.40, with a $678.89 instant savings from Dell.
My second option for the company laptop would be Apple’s MacBook Pro 13-inch. This is a great laptop for many different reasons. The processor includes: 2.5GHz Dual-core Intel Core i5, Turbo Boost up to 3.1GHz. The memory includes: 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM — 2x2GB. This is significant amount of memory for the company, along with a great processor. The hard drive includes: 750GB serial ATA drive @ 5400 rpm. The keyboard includes: backlit keyboard (English) & user's guide (English). The software is what I really like about this laptop, it includes: Keynote which is a great presentation app. It has easy to use tools which let you add tables, charts, shapes, photos, and videos to slides, with cinematic animation. Another software I like is pages, it is a great word processor and also easy to use. It also imports and exports Microsoft Word documents so you can work with anyone on a MAC or PC. This is a great tool for drafting monthly reports. The final software that I like about this laptop is called numbers which is an easy to use number spread sheet. It offers over 30 different templates and dynamic tables and charts. It also imports and exports Microsoft excel files so you can work...
