As we walked along the sidewalk that ran parallel to the beach we stumbled into a long wooden set of stairs. Their old and decomposed appearance was accented with winding ivy that consumed the handrail. With just a glance, no words, we decided to venture up it. Holding his hand we walked step and step. The beach was quiet, not a single person was in sight this far down along the shore. The sun was setting slowly casting its yellow orange glow along the water, leaving pink and purple watercolor skies in its place. When we reached the top of the staircase we were greeted by a flourishing garden. The blooming flower, pruned bushes, and tall trees created magical scenery. Water features accented different parts of the garden creating beautiful white background noise. I spotted a bench and began to run for it. He chased after me, only to meet at the base of the sitting area. We sat and listened to the running water, wind chimes, and rustling leaves. As the sun set and strong breeze began to move in. Luckily my jeans and pick hoodie kept me warm enough not to complain. It was getting dark and we were getting ready to leave. This beautiful garden was getting more and more eerie as the sun sank further. The darkness consumed the beauty of all the plants, and made all the nooks and crevices of the garden seem darker and full of mystery. The beautiful white noise we were listening too began to sound more frightening and less relaxing. Insects, frogs and other little creature were filling the night with their own music causing a screeching like noise. I look to him and explained my desire to leave. With a half smile he said “A few more minutes”. I trusted his ability to protect me and thought I was probably over reacting. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me a touch closer. We spent more time talking and enjoying the pleasant evening. Though I was becoming more anxious with the deepening darkness, I felt safe knowing I had

The causeway we drove on was curved and tall enough for the sailboats below to pass under. As I looked down, I could see a group of beautiful condos on the shore. They contrasted brightly with the white sand around them, painted colors normally found in a box of crayons. I took in the sight of all the fancy high-rise condos and hotels, with a few beach huts sprinkled in between. We arrived at our hotel, and I quickly unloaded and unpacked my belongings. The beach was waiting for me.…

As she walking to class, something caught her attention, the shore outside. She went outside, they were allowed to go outside without permission. She walked outside and she could feel the breeze going towards her and she could feel the warmness of the sun reflecting on top of her head. She saw how the waves were moving in a steady motion and it splashing on top of the soft sand. She could hear the palm trees moving gently.…

We begin our story in the small, beachy forest town of Nopicopolople (pronounced Nop-ee-cop-el-lop-el). Every day, the sun rose brightly over town, and waves crashed upon the beach, creating ripples in the sand. The cool breeze swept over the grass, carrying the sweet scent of dandelions and lavender with them. Every night, the moon shone brightly, letting the sun rest, ending the day with an alluring sunset.…

Almost within minutes it seemed he had arrived at Mission Beach. The sun was pretty much sky high on this early September day. He stood for a while gazing in the direction of the sand and sea. His hands were calmly by his sides. Noticing that the sun was too bright for his eyes, he slowly, with coolness about him, slid his sunglasses down from atop his head to the level of his eyes. The sunglasses were black and of a surfer brand style. Johnny could now see the details of what was happening upon the beach without squinting his eyes and forehead. This was a beach, he noticed, with diverse persons in attendance. Specifically he noticed an elderly couple walking along the sidewalk of the beach hand-in-hand, and both their hair colors were as white as…

I was led by the smoke cloud to a quaint little cottage. It did not appear to be vacant. As I was approaching the door, I noticed a faint glow in the arched window. I assumed it was candlelight. In the corner of my eye, I sensed movement. A blurry and small outline of a person topped the hill. I decided to go in to the cottage even though the movement still was etched my mind. Once in, I walked through a small sitting circle and felt warmth from the fire burning stove. Into the kitchen was a table with food. A warm and fresh prepared meal was set out for two guests. The table had turkey, peas, green beans, bread and pie. I hadn’t eaten since this morning so I decided to help myself to a plate. As I was about to take a bite of the turkey, the wood door pushed open. This sound startled me to the point of coughing. The blurred figure came through the door. It was the person I saw in field. That person was carrying a basket full of garden vegetables. When the person saw me, she asked me who I was and why I was in her house. I told her about my hunting experience and how I had walked upon the cottage. I let her know about how cold it was and that I needed a little warmth and something to eat. She didn’t feel sorry for me in the least bit. I felt extremely bad because she had made this meal for her husband and children. I gave her my regards and lots for rabbits to enjoy. I left on my horse…

On Thursday February 9, 2012, at Mario’s Bowling and Entertainment Palace 7pm, the two teams that played were Scotia Trust and Commonwealth Bank. I did like my experience at the alley it was a great one, that night was another nail-biter for Team Scotia Trust. They reigned victorious by upsetting Commonwealth Bank the number two team in the league by winning two games and losing one, pushing them to the number three position. Barbara Scott turned in a stellar performance by bowling her highest game of the season 180 and she was assisted by Verlene Harris, who helped won the game that night. The final scores of that night, was Scotia Trust with 300 points and Commonwealth Bank with 270 points. What I didn’t like about my experience was the fact that the arrangement was not organized at all. The game was supposed to start promptly at 7pm but they couldn’t, because most of the team mates didn’t arrived as yet. So unfortunately, the game had to start at 8pm, for most of the team mates being so late that was really like an inconvenience. My thoughts on how this event could be educational for students, by teaching you teamwork. This sport would help you learn to work with teammates, both good and bad ones.…

It was a miracle to finally have peace and quiet throughout the day.I had never felt more relaxed. The night came around and I was off to bed, when I heard the rustling of the piled leaves outside my dusty window that I had not noticed. It seemed to be coming closer and closer towards my bedroom window. I began to get nervous and frightened, for I didn’t know what or who it was. I then heard the banging of something outside the window and rocks being thrown like huge catapults from outside the house. I then bravely looked out the window and screamed like a wild monkey that had lost his favorite banana. It was little red chief and that little demon was back! I couldn’t bare to stay there a second longer, so I ran out of my tiny house that was…

Regional Agricultural Research Station, Lumle (RARS, Lumle) was founded initially as Lumle Agricultural Training Centre in 1968. It was responsible for the training of retiring personnel from the Gurkha Regiments of the British Army, in improved agricultural technologies, which could be implemented by them on returning to their villages in the hill districts of Nepal. In 1975, funding for the Centre was transferred to the United Kingdom (UK) Government's Overseas Development Administration (ODA), and LAC was given a wider mandate for agricultural research, extension and training, within a command area covering 1,100 km² and about 15,000 farming households in parts of the districts of Kaski, Parbat and Myagdi.…
