Case Study

-------------------------------------------------
Alan Walsh, a 19 year old man from St Georges, has just finished his studies at college and has been playing in a band during his spare time. There are four other members of the group called “Dimensions” Carol, Joe, Anita and Raj. They have been together for about a year, and have been told they have “potential” and now want to try and make a career in music. They have had a few “gigs” in the Telford area but now want to turn professional and play at venues throughout the West Midlands. -------------------------------------------------

As Alan has qualifications in Business, and the other band members all work part-time, he deals with the bookings and the purchasing of equipment for the band, along with all the administration work needed for the group. -------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------
2) The Melody Shop– who sell a variety of musical instruments and sheet music from their shop and over the internet. -------------------------------------------------

Alan used the Business Support Centre to help get the group established and contacts them regularly for advice when problems arise....
