Philippine National Railways
Philippine National Railways Experience, The Perks of Riding the PNR the followings stories are based on my experience, there are criticism but all of this are only my opinons. Basically the types of passengers who tends to ride the PNR are as follows: security guards/body guards, senior citizens, just ordinary persons, workers and construction workers, pregnant women, vendors, even if it is a Sunday there are some students, the larger population of passengers are mostly males. There are some positive things about PNR first and foremost the fare is very affordable compare to other modes of transportation next one is that less hasslle you don’t need to ride on another transportation to get to a certain destination, some Employees were polite and courteous, lastly there’s no traffic at all because it is a train. While the Downside of riding the PNR is that the air ventillation, there’s no aircon at all I think it is not working during the ride all of us agreed to open the upper portion of the window because it’s too hot and we are all suffocated, noise pollution such as crying babies, chitchatting passengers/ talking too loud, passengers playing music with their speakers on, and yelling and irretated passengers with each other because some don’t give way when it comes to loading and unloading, conjestion/overcrwoding is the main problem because there are lots of passengers waiting in every stations and it can’t accommodate all of them because the PNR also has it’s own carrying capacity, some station had poor maintenance and poor implementation, also there are no descent ticketing booths unlike to LRT and MRT, I found the motion of the train to be too shaky, at times unsteady, persistent problems with the informal settlers in every station because in every station you will always see their houses which is not a scenic view for me also my blockmate experience that someone throws an object heading to the train maybe it is a stone or what

The Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) is commonly argued to be the most important transportation route in Canadian history, but most do not know the substantial benefits it provided. More specifically, it provided benefits to farmers, financiers, and consumers. A number of passengers, especially women express feeling endangered by the safety of RT. In one Yelp review, Kathleen "Kathaaay" F. shares her thoughts on light rail safety,” The light rail is by no means a safe place for any woman, by any means. The constant sexual harassment and lack of security guards who don't do shit will make your trip uncomfortable and leave wondering if you will get home safe”(Yelp). In a rather detailed review Ashli L. expresses her concern with light rail security, “I've been harassed during the regular commute on the train and while waiting at stop. One time a security patrol was on the train and did nothing!” Ashli’s review continues by describing additional harassment, robbery, employee unprofessionalism and “a major communication disconnect” separating RT and customers (Yelp). Kathleen and Ashli are not the only passengers who feel unsafe, Yelp contains numerous reviews with similar expressions of lack of active security, unchecked abuse by outlandish passengers, fear of robbery and generally unsatisfied customers are common themes. These reports are not without justification; robbery is not uncommon within the system. RT claims improvements have been made to improve prosecution and recovery rates it may be some time before passengers feel safe riding the rails. In spite of this, data from RT’s own monthly reports show that crime is actually on the rise (fig.…

Historical records show that the Philippine Customs Service started many centuries back long before the Philippines was discovered by the eastern and western expeditionaries. The Philippines had already a flourishing trade with countries of Southeast Asia, but since money at that time was not yet the medium of exchange, people then resorted to the barter system of commodities. The rulers of the barangays were known as the “datus” or “rajahs” collected tributes from the people before they were allowed to engage in their trade.…

Trains are easily the most comfortable way to travel. One has the option of travelling in air-conditioned coaches either first class, 2 –tier or 3 –tier. At night there is hardly any scope of getting amazing views en route and a good night sleep gives a refreshing start to the onward journey. Passengers are provided with clean bed-rolls for the night to tuck yourself in. The ride is very smooth and not bumpy as in case of buses due to the poor condition of roads. Trains rarely suffer from weather delays and does not give a jet lag. You can talk to your companions, read a book, or have a snooze. Indian Railways is pretty well connected and major cities are serviced by at least one railway line, along with countless local and commuter services. Trains offers plenty of legroom, no restrictions on the use of electronic devices, generous free baggage allowances, and a dining car serving freshly-prepared meals. Long distant passenger trains are provided with washrooms which are cleaned regularly. Travelling by train overnight is much safer. A bus journey is fraught with risks, they are more accident prone because it is depends on one individual - the driver. Whereas in railways, a system of traffic signals and personnel work in tandem to ensure safety. Trains are also provided with security guards for the safety of passengers. In comparison to bus rail fares are less expensive with discounts available to senior citizens and children below twelve years.…
