For the final project, I have chosen to use a character from the movie Girl, Interrupted.
Susanna 18-month stay at a mental institution
opening scence- in restraints, injection of valium
“you should check my hands, no bones in it” wrists all brusied Dr called her wrist banger. “sometimes its hard for me to stay in one place. psychiatrist asked her how she picked up the aspirin if she had no bones in her hand “by then they came back” truly believes this when doctor asked her to explain she said how am i suppose to explain that the laws of physics can be altered, time can change you can go back and forward in time. she knows its crazy but she truly believes. She said she can’t control it, doctor asked why, she said what and he asked again, wouldnt answer. “idk what Im feeling”
family party- mother critisizes her on what shes wearing
denies doing drugs- smokes cigs
chased a bottle of asprin with a bottle of vodka
DR suggests her getting rest at Claymore. Susanna willingly agrees
taxi driver asked what she did to go to mental inst. she said “im sad, I see things”
implusivly had sex with her teacher who is married and someone she just met. convo with stranger about kiilling themselves, got mad he asked to stop talking about it. she said she didnt want to die but thought about ways to kill herself without the intent
often has flash backs
when therapist at clymore askd about suicide attempt she said she didnt try to kill herself she had a headache and tried to make the shit stop.
says everyone here is crazy and parents put her here, but she decided to go there
saw lisa not take her meds, when she got her laxitives she said she didnt need them, nurse said she had to, she pretended to take them then spit out when nurse left. overheard someone wanting laxatives, nurse wouldnt give them to her (daisy), she gave daisy her laxitives
befriends psychopath Lisa
when younger she rolled off bed and hit her head and was strapped
