Subject: ASSIGMENTS FOR THE THIRD SEMESTER

Qoestion . Prepare Management Presention guidelines to improve communication between the management and employees. Interest in Quality Circle activities of the management. Fostering good working relationship amongst the working staff of the organization. The Quality Circle gains reorganization and morale boosting of the employees.

Answer: Quality circles : Quality circles on the other hand have a much more limited and utilitarian scope. Unlike the autonomous work groups , quality circles rarely ,if ever involve themselves in work redesign . As the focus is on imporving uuality and cutting costs of specific products or methods. Although these circels are generally management inspried worker membership is voluntry . in these circules managers and workers of aparticular shop or department together identify ,study and provide soluation to specfic problems . here too workers do participate in a wide range of issue affecting their task performance.

Since both these forums limit themsekves to their work stations , they do not involve themselves beyond the realm of their own shop. Niether of these forums deal with issue going beyond production or product quality . it is therefore best to call the autonomous work groups and quality circles as employee involvement programmes rather than as structher allowing worker’s participation in management .

Quality circle is not a frum for wage negotiations , grievance settlement or discssion of welfare measures. They should initially concern about matter like wastage of materials , house kepping problems, space shortage ,cleanness problems , delay , hold – ups , inadequate traninning , inadequate job instrucation , quality ,productivity ,energy consumption , meterial handling enviroment problems, safety etc .
