We pledge to stick to the rules no matter how much it pains us to follow them. In due time, we will prosper ourselves to willingly obey these rules. This will be able to make us promote a friendly environment.
We pledge to open up our minds and become active on giving useful suggestions on how to improve the school campus. Not to forget, as we make suggestions, that we will base them into forming a clean, healthy, safe, and friendly environment. And if there are any programs for improving the campus, we will find time to participate in those programs.
We pledge to reduce the waste being produced by our school in order to make a clean and healthy environment for students to feel safe and secured by following the 3 R’s (Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle) and by not littering. We will mobilize ourselves to learn to properly throw away wastes without being told to do so.
We pledge to keep the wellbeing of the chairs, tables and other materials inside the classroom to avoid inflicting injuries to other students by not destroying the chairs, playing with the chairs and such. By doing so, we can help in preventing the insufficiency of materials such as chairs. And we can help the school to save funds for other purposes.
We pledge to avoid vandalism to reduce the things that needs to be repainted and to make the rooms more presentable and for making the students cozy by using paper as a doodle pad instead of the chairs, the walls and the tables.
We pledge to avoid loitering along the stairs to provide other students a wider walking space and to avoid accidents by going to the giant steps or pond and hang-out there instead which provide more space.
These we will all place in our mind and hearts. We will do whatever we can in order to make our sacred environment, Saint Louis University, a clean, healthy, safe and friendly environment as much as possible for everyone.

Trash, garbage, junk, debris-all alternatively known as litter-scattered across the 268,597 square miles of Texas on our highways and landscapes. Where former First Lady Claudia Alta "Lady Bird" Johnson aspired to see bright and colorful wildflower blanketing the great Texas countryside, oftentimes we only see disturbing amounts of garbage. This is what I aim to change. Through my school's Key Club I have had the opportunity to have a positive impacts in reducing the "over 435 million pieces of visible litter" covering "our empire wide and glorious." In the thirty-eight total service hours I have dedicated to both Texas Adopt-A-Highway and school wide recycling the amount of litter that myself and the generous volunteers…

1. As a member of ASB, I would like to see all the leaders taking charge and realizing what a privilege we have going to such an amazing school, like ours. I would also like to see them having pride and school spirit, because those things are such a big part of being a leader, it shows others around you that you are proud to be called a (School Mascot). Another thing that would be great to see around the school is people taking care of our campus like they would their home, not wanting anyone to trash it, or mess with it, because it is like our home.…

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." (US history), is how we have been saying the pledge since 1954, so why is it that after fifty years we find a dilemma with the phrase "under God." We have always and always will say the pledge to the United States of America, not to God. Students have never minded saying that phrase, and no one is being forced to say it.…
