What is Race?
Many people will define race as a set of biological characteristics and traits that are present is a specific population of people. From some dictionaries that a race is a biological construct, of a more or less distinct population with anatomical traits that distinguish it clearly from other races. The functional traits usually refer to the color of the skin, shape of the eyes or the nose, all of them are from out looking. For example, in China the people in the southern parts are quite different structurally from the people in the northern parts, because the people from the south belong to the many different races, they look shorter and color of skin are whiter; the people from the north belong to the Han and Mongolian race, they look higher and stronger and color of skin are dark. But it’s not about biology. The world build up with different nationalities of people, people from various ethnic, beliefs, lifestyles and values. Those are all belong to the cultural. Different cultures collide at here. They gradually reach a compromise in order to achieve the purpose of coexistence. But the fact is that compromise is difficult to achieve, because of a variety of different cultures is impossible to completely blend. Some theories suggest that minority cultures will become an obstacle to social development. The differences between racial the most important reason is the social and cultural factors, not just the difference in biology. For example Asians, American resident, they will gradually adapt to American society, culture and life habits, they will become to Americans. A Chinese child born in the U.S., even the parents are Chinese, but he is an American, because he is completely accepted American society and culture, he cannot speak Chinese, and do not know everything about China, but he know about the United States to all, so he became Asian Americans.
