What Do You Consider to Be You’re Greatest Achievement? Why Does It Mean so Much to You?
ESSAY: composition
What do you consider to be you’re greatest achievement? Why does it mean so much to you?
Right now I’m here. I’m sitting in my class. My hands are completely cold and frozen but that shouldn’t matter to you. All you want to know is about my greatest achievement. What is an achievement in the first place? Taking hold of your dream?
A lifelong goal you worked so hard for?
But what if I don’t have this kind of an achievement? Because the first achievement I ever had was winning my first debate. It was a long time ago but do you want me to tell you about it? It was horrible.
People saw me on the stage, they clapped they cheered as they heard my voice. I shouted my views about justice, about fairness and change. But I could see from their expressions that were too busy laughing at my sarcasm and witty statements to really notice what I was saying.
While the judges nodded away giving me an empty trophy which seemed cold and heartless against my warm voice and ideas about * changing the world*. In the end the world remained unchanged and unaffected and my cute little speech was forever forgotten.

This is broken.
Have you ever noticed this before?
Everything is infected and dead. The chairs are dead. The walls are cracked and the windows….. Shattered. The world is infected into thinking and believing in one thing as the *greatest achievement* and that is to be rich, famous and successful. The students that cram up the Topical come first in school. The teachers come and teach about not about the world but how to get rich and successful in it .They are sometimes too worldly and I mark them too as infected as *sick*.
But at the start of the year the kids …their very much

Can failing be counted as an accomplishment? Thomas Edison the inventor of the light bulb and many other inventions would say yes. One of Edison’s co- workers said that it was a shame that he spent so much time on the new battery and had produced no results. Edison thought of his failures in a different and optimistic way and replied with ‘“Results? Why, man, I have gotten a lot of results! I know several thousand things that won’t work!”’ Edison’s good attitude and will to keep going brought along the idea of student- centered learning. “To Really Learn, Fail—Then Fail Again!” by Susan Moran uses the idea of learning from your errors, “New Math: Fail + Try Again = Real Learning” by Susan Moran is about risking failure to learn from their…

It took me longer to achieve my goals, since I have had many personal obstacles in my way. At the age of 17, I became a married teenage single mother of a one month old baby. I did not have much of a family so I had to take care of my child on my own. My family was not the type to go to for help because they would take from someone leaving them helpless. Looking in the mirror one day after being knocked down for not cooking dinner, made me look into my soul through my eyes; I decided enduring a life with so much Domestic Violence that it was not for me.…

“Two years ago I went to summer camp for Greek-Cypriot and Turkish-Cypriot children. When I told my best friend about it she laughed at me, so I didn’t want to go. But my daddy said I had to go and see for myself what it was like. I went there expecting to see monsters and instead I saw children just like me. We played games and told jokes. We had the same hobbies and our grandmothers cooked the same kind of food. I was amazed. That was when I realized that Turkish-Cypriots are the same as us. It was silly of me to be afraid to come. I told my best friend about how nice the Turkish-Cypriot children were, but she didn’t believe me. May she should go to a camp too so that she can see what I saw. I have Turkish-Cypriot friends now. I gave them my email so that we can talk on msn. I wish I could see those friends everyday.”…

Accomplishments don’t always come right away. Sometimes, you have to work at it in order to achieve a desired goal. Sure, it may take a while but, the end product will be worth all the hard work and hours dedicated to that project. It took Thomas Edison one year to invent the light bulb. He tried many different possibilities (1400 different fibers) until he tried cotton fiber. With the cotton fiber, he then created a light bulb that could last over 1500 hours. With Edison’s hard work and dedication, the possibilities are endless.…
