This is a report on the Book of Revelation the last book in the bible and the only book in the New Testament that is prophetic. The bible is a compilation of different books written by 40 different authors. In particular the book of Revelation was written by the apostle John when he was on the island of Patmos now located in the country of Greece due to the tribulation “on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus” (Rev 1.9). In this report I will outline the revelation of Jesus Christ to the apostle John., the message of Jesus Christ to the apostle John and the future events that will take place in the last days according to the prophesies of this book. Moreover, I will provide my personal opinion regarding this text because I think this will help readers understand the point I’m trying to make regarding this topic.

In the book of revelation the apostle John begins describing the revelation that God gave to Jesus Christ, his only begotten son according to John 3.16 “to show his servants the things that must soon take place” (Rev 1.1). In other words, this revelation was not only given to John the apostle so that he can be aware of these things. According to the English Standard Version bible located on the website the word “servants” is mention in plural. What this means is that this revelation is for everybody especially for those who follow Christ and for those that study the bible. In revelation 1.1 the apostle John specifies that this revelation was given to him through the angel of Jesus Christ because he “bore witness to the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ” (Rev 1.2). The word apocalypse means revealing or unveiling something. In other words, what God is giving us is a revelation of the futures events that will change the history of human kind so that we can be aware of all these things.

In Revelation 1.3 John blessed all those who read, hear and keep the words of this prophecy because he knew that “the time was near” (Rev 1.4). Moreover he understood that many people around the world will not read, listen and keep the words of this prophesies like the people of the time of Noah when God destroyed the world with flood because all the people were evil. Therefore if John said that the time was near basically 96 years after Christ resurrection according to the website when he wrote the book of revelation that means we are living near or in the last days of human kind. John knowing that Jesus was alive wrote to the seven churches in Asia that Jesus “who is and who was and who is to come” (Rev 1.4). John described Jesus as lovable son of God “who loves us and freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father” (Rev 1.6). The only way that people sins can be clean is if someone dies and that exactly what Jesus did he paid our inequities with his blood so that we can get to heaven on the day of resurrection according to the bible.

The Lord Jesus Christ called John to write in a book what he saw and send it...
