Summary
In order to meet the growing business of CoffeeVille, the owners have expressed the need of a second cafe manager, either full-time or part-time, to manage customers and staff as well as oversee cafe operation. The new position is to be filled within 6 months.

The current floor manager Joe Belfone, works Monday to Thursday, and the cafe does not run smoothly when Joe is not working on Friday. Also due to the business growth, the owners have decided to open on Saturday, and requires at least one manager to be on the floor from Monday to Saturday.

The owners, Rufus and Emma Belcastran, would like to recruit through interviews and attract applicants through referral. CoffeeVille is a family-owned and run cafe in Melbourne, and aims to serve quality food and fair trade coffee at a face pace. The cafe is currently open 7am-5pm, Monday to Friday. CoffeeVille is a Equal Employment Opportunity workplace.

Purpose of position:
This position is a second cafe manager that either works full-time or part-time alongside the current cafe manager Joe Belfone who only works four days a week. The cafe is extending its hours to Saturday and the owners prefer to have a manager everyday the cafe is open. The intention of this is to provide better customer service, manage cafe staff, and coordinate cafe operations.

Responsibility and Duties:

1 - Coordinate the cafe schedule, and covering various shifts if necessary 2 - Serve as the lead customer service contact at the cafe, including welcoming customers, answering questions, and other communications 3 - Keep cafe area clean, neat and orderly

4 - Organise orders for supply needed for the cafe

Academic and Trade Qualifications
Essential
- Qualifications in operating/managing small businesses

Desirable
- Computer skills e.g. MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Familiar with POS systems

Work Experience and Skills
Essential
- 3 years cafe manager experience in managing and motivating staff, training junior staff - CoffeeVille product knowledge
- Understanding of fair trade principles
- Understanding of food and beverage operations
- Staff management experience including performance management and training - Strong understanding of coffee products
- Ability to develop and implement cafe policies and procedures - Ability to manage vendors and maintain inventory
- Ability to run staff meetings
- Familiar with social media such as Facebook and Twitter
