The seminar is about Earthquake, Climate Change, Fire Prevention and NSTP History. It happened in Lyceum Of the Philippines University of Batangas, at the SHL Building in the Freedom Hall.
Let’s talk about first the earhtquake. An earthquake is a series of vibrations induced in the earth’s crust by abrupt rupture and rebound of rocks in which elastic strain has been slowly accumulating. It is a natural phenomenon that results from underground movement along fault plane. Things to do incase an earthquake occurs. Duck, cover and hold. Do not run or panic. Do not leave the house or building until the motion stops and it is safe. Take cover under the des, heavy table or bench, or against inside walls and doorways. Do not dash for exits since stairways may be broken or jammed with people. Do not distress if you hear alarms going off of if the sprinklers begin to operate. Prepare for more than one aftershock. When leaving be alert for possible falling objects.
Climate change it is a significant and lasting change in the statistical distribution of weather pattern over periods ranging from decades to millions of years. It may be change in average eather conditions is caused by factors that include oceanic processes, variation in solar radiation received by earth, plate tectonics, and volcanic eruptions and human induced aleration of the natural world. The effects of this climate change will threaten water supplies, brng more severe weather, threaten the livelhood of nations situated near sea
