Real Age Assesment
As I completed this assignment I couldn’t grasp on how this realage test has made an impact in my life. I was overwhelmed by all the questions they were asking me. Why because to some questions I had a hard time answering, not because I didn’t know the answer but because I didn’t think they had an effect on my health. This test has allowed me to see what made me happy, what made me Mad., Other ways to learn how to control my emotions and learn how to maintain a healthy life. It wasn’t until now that I realized that i was not on the right track. For example there was a question that I was asked which was do I stay in touch with my friends.

When i thought about this question i didn’t think it had anything to do with my health or me being younger. I just thought it was just important to just stay in touch with people that you’re close to. The test showed me that staying in touch with my friends has an effect on me. Having Strong ties with other people keeps me younger and healthier by acting as a cushion against stress, taming inflammation, making my blood less likely to clot when I’m tense, and lowering your risk of a heart attack.

What did I learn from this assignment, I learned how to maintain my health, stay positive so that my blood pressure can stay normal at all times. Who to keep in my company and who not to keep, what food to eat what not to eat, and also how to keep a healthy diet. The results that were surprising to me were my health results. One result in particular was my blood pressure it showed me that was average. I was surprise because I thought in one aspect in my life that was one area that thought I had in control was my blood pressure. I’m glad that I was aware about it and I learned some new ways to keep it on track.

This assignment was a fun and also a learning experiment I took in a lot, which I never thought would have happened. I am satisfied with my results and with the age that it gave me. I plan to stay healthy and also look

The assignment that I learned the most from was the Week Two assignment about the digestive system. I now understand how the body uses the different types of food, the path food takes as it enters the body, and how the organs, including the salivary glands work together in the digestive process. However, my favorite part of Week Two came through the class discussions in the area of home remedies. I learned how a change in diet can prevent or help to cure digestive disorders. For example, Diverticulus can be treated at home by drinking plenty of fluid and eating fiber rich foods, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, etc. I enjoyed this part the most because I was forced to take medicine for an extended period of time and I really did not enjoy that experience. Therefore, learning natural ways to bring relief was truly refreshing for me.…

    Health Triangle Yoo!

    • 654 Words
    • 3 Pages

Do you consider yourself to be healthy? Well the definition of health is a combination of physical, mental/emotional, and social well being, not merely the absence of diseases. The health triangle consists of three sides; social health, physical health, and mental health. It is very important to have the sides on you health triangle equal. Without all of the sides being equal it will not only affect that one but will throw off the other two as well. To have a healthy health triangle all sides must be the same. This is important because focusing one side of the triangle way more that the other causes you to be unhealthy and changes balance of the other sides. The people you talk too, daily activities and emotions all affect your health and should be taken into equal consideration to be truly healthy.…

This was a really eye opening experience. The inventory got me thinking about many different aspects and how I learn and approach different problems and situations. The implication is that the different selfs (physical, emotional, social, critical, creative, and passionate) affect how you learn. In some situations you might be more confident in yourself than others. However, after you complete the self profile it is not really well defined about what the term survival, maintenance, and enhancement means. I can deduce that the survival means that I am just getting by, the maintence means I am trying but have to work at it, and enhancement means that I have mostly mastered that portion of myself. This would open up a discussion with the support team as to what your strengths and weaknesses are. I know for myself by thinking about the questions, it made more aware and as I go into a situation, I might think differently about how I approach the…

This exercise has taught me a lot on my way of thinking, concentrating, and contact with people. I never knew that these learning styles determine how I perceive my everyday functions. Until now I always thought of myself being a Visual learner, I have to see it in order to understand it. I am a see it, to believe it type of woman. After taking the self-test and reviewing the chart, my way of thinking is much broader. I do all three of the learning styles. I had to sit back and say; am I weird? Am I just able to learn, all different Ways.…
