P6 Situational Writing Accident Report
Date: 6th May 2008

Dear Sir/Madam,
Re: Report on a fatal accident witnessed along Ai Sing Road
I am Lenita Loh from Primary 6A of Ai Sing Primary School. Yesterday, Monday, 5th of May 2008, at 3.25pm, I witnessed a fatal accident outside my school, along Ai Sing Road. The horrific accident involving the reckless driver of a white Mazda, bearing the license plate, SBJ1278D, caused the death of my fellow classmate, Andrea Sim.
We were on our way home after our extended curriculum hours that fateful day. Andrea, who walked ahead of me, was carefully crossing the road after the pedestrian light had turned green. In the blink of an eye, the speeding white Mazda swerved and hit her, having failed to observe the red stop light. Andrea’s frail body was flung over 30 metres as a result of that impact.
I was too shocked to even move. It was our school’s security guard who managed to call the paramedics and the police. The driver did not get out of the car until police arrived. I knew immediately that the accident was fatal when a police officer placed a blue tent over her lifeless body.
I hope my eye-witness account will assist police investigations in bringing justice to the tragedy. An innocent life has been lost forever and many other lives changed permanently.

Reported by,
Lenita Loh

He let the ministries zip past (the pink, the white), and a series of stores on the main street, their windows flash ing. Now he was beginning the most pleasant part of the run, the real ride: a long street bordered withtrees, very little traffic, with spacious villas whose gardens rambled all theway down to the sidewalks, which were barely indi cated by low hedges. Abit inattentive perhaps, but tooling along on the right side of the street, heallowed himself to be carried away by the freshness, by the weightlesscontraction of this hardly begun day. This involuntary relaxa tion, possibly, kept him from preventing the accident. When he saw that the womanstanding on the corner had rushed into the crosswalk while he still had thegreen light, it was already somewhat too late for a simple solu tion. Hebraked hard with foot and hand, wrenching him self to the left; he heard thewoman scream, and at the collision his vision went. It was like falling asleep all at once. He came to abruptly. Four or five young men were get ting him out from under the cycle. Voices which did not seem to belong to thefaces hanging above him encouraged him cheerfully with jokes and assurances. His single solace was to hear someone else confirm that thelights indeed had…

So overall this story may have not been all that stimulating, but it is one of the stories I recall the best. It happened fairly recently and I always laugh when I think of my brother not realizing we had a wreck because he was asleep! I also suspect you may be wondering what happened to the car and if you're not, then your should stop reading this and give me an A, but in all seriousness our beloved family car did survive...for about a month then we traded it in for a grey…

It was a typical drive to school- fingers tapping on the steering wheel as I sing along with the overplayed pop song playing on the radio station. As I approached an intersection, I saw a dark blue sedan coming from the left, but realized that the driver had a stop sign and I did not. Therefore, I continued driving-still singing and tapping to the rhythm of the song- when suddenly, I found myself slamming on the brakes. My body jerked forward, and I looked up to find the front of my car collided with the dark blue sedan.…
